    Informed by FSCS customer services that my cheque would arrive this week, Sat mail just delivered and no cheque from FSCS. Am I suprised? not one little bit, I will be surprised if and when my cheque ever arrives. Not very confident that I will ever see my ISA money without a fight. No interest being paid on this money since 1st Oct, so who is sitting on the money and gaining interest without passing it on?
    I know how you feel. Try that email address given in post 155 if still nothing tomorrow.

    Got my cheque for ftb

    Paper claim 21 Nov (no linked account)
    Matured 19th Jan
    Promised mid Feb by FSCS
    Rec'd on 10th Feb.

    Ta muchly to powers that be.
    NB It doesn't compensate for my taxes paying public sector gold plated pensions while my private one goes down the pan... along with the poor Equitable Lifers ones...
  • Phoned FSCS on Monday and given news that my fixed term account
    matured 1 February. Am pretty sure I didn't renew my fixed term account
    as it matured so near the time the whole thing collapsed. Told by one
    chap that he would get back to me. This didn't happen so I phoned and
    asked to speak to the manager telling him about all the conflicting
    advice etc. He said that they outsource some of the work and that
    they would be emailed about my case and FSCS rep. would get back to me.
    This still hasn't happened. The six weeks business obviously has gone
    out the window.
    Am losing the will to live ......:rolleyes:

    I'm sure this guy is being bombarded now but do try the email address given further up.Good luck.
  • Emailed David Lamb at FSCS and a day later I received a reply from him saying that my claim hadn't been signed off as I was told by customer services but I should reveive a cheque before next Wed 25th, if I didn't to contact him. A positive move but still living in hope.

  • Great news at long last, today received a cheque in respect of my Icesave ISA.

    Good luck to the people still waiting, hope you get it sorted soon.

    I got the letter saying they received my application.... 2 months after I sent it.
    If I hadn't called them earlier, I'd be worried.

  • I received my cheque today too... Going to bank tomorrow. Hope it clears ;-)

    After numerous phone calls and getting nowhere, I emailed [EMAIL="David.Lamb@fscs.org.uk"]David.Lamb@fscs.org.uk[/EMAIL] and yippee I got a response - only to say he was looking into the matter and would get back to me..

    I received swift compensation for one Fixed Rate Bond within a week of maturity (impressive!), but not for another maturing just one week later - I have now been waiting almost four weeks. Before I e-mail David Lamb at FSCS as suggested above, can anyone who has received a reply via this route tell me what information they put in their e-mail - IceSave account number or initial FSCS reference number?

    I just put name, and full address. they can find out the information required from your postcode. If they require further information they will contact you.
