Is CSA1 an exact science? (if so where can I get a copy of the formula) -merged-

But is it unlawful or is that just your opinion?

Its my opinion - based on my understanding of the Child Support Act 1991 and its numerous secondary legislation. OTOMH heres a summary.

    1. The prescribed government poverty threshold is £60.50 a week but the CSA contradict it by charging arrears.
    2. The CSA says I am out of time for making an appeal - while the law says I am entitled to a fair trial established in law and impartial.
    3. The CSA contradict its own rules by saying corrections cannot be backdated but able to backdate corrections whenever it suits them.
    4. The CSA says the maximum a CSA payer can have deducted from his wages is 30% for two children but they are deducting 52% on a DEO.
    5. The CSA assessed me on a specimen 2 week in summer 2007 when I working 75 hours a week then pretend I work 75 hours a week for 52 weeks a year.
    6. The CSA thinks a non-dependant is someone who rents a bedsit in a house that is owned by his uncle who permanently lives abroad.
The CSA is unjust, oppressive and discriminates men. If you tell me otherwise then 2 and 2 is 5, and you have a Ph.D in rendering bovine fecal matter.

The arrears will still stand even when you go on benefits. I don't know all of the facts but you seem to be complaining on here alot when you should be concentrating your energy on the CSA. I'm not saying I don't believe you but I know how they calculate maintenance and you would have had to supply several wage slips and they would have averaged out your working hours. If they were deducting 50 odd percent on a DEO this is unacceptable and against the law but you wouldnt have been placed on DEO had you been compliant or at least made some attempt to make payments.

The maximum they can take is 40% and this includes arrears.

Mark, do you have any legislation for that? This is the holy grail I have been looking for.

I am afraid this is not true. The OP aside countless compliant NRP's are being put on DEO's through no fault of their own.
