I come on here for the varied opinions and different styles of postings so there's no one in particular really. The whole sum is worth more than the parts (or something along those lines).
Besides, forums often contain people who sound very worldly wise and educated via the medium of postings but if you met them in a pub you'd find them with their glasses tied together with string, a packed lunch, a strange twitch and 10p in their sock to call their Mum in case of emergencies.
You forgot the gloves sewn to elastic passing through the arms of the old raincoat.....
No, I agree entirely that the pick 'n mix formula is the reason for this forum's success. While it's essential to have a decent amount of informed or specialist input, without the wry asides, playground humour and occasional spats it would be altogether way too serious & dull.0 -

PasturesNew is probably the most level-headed one. I don't think I've ever seen her rise to the bait.poppy100

Oh, oh, in the end of year awards spirit, can we have nominations for the best thread title on this board? Got a few candidatesthe kind of title you just have click on:
Landlord gave some homeless guy a key to my flat while i was still living there!!!!
Radiator fell off wall onto my son
Electrocuted, by landlords washing machine
Management company has put new door in today- Now locked out!poppy100 -
I think I'd have to vote for neverdespairgirl and pasturesnew, as most, if not all, my 'thanks' come from them.
Generali gets a thumbs up, as does Yorkshireboy (but there's bias there cos I'm from Yorkshire too so picture him as a straight talking Northerner in the south).
Retired IFA deserves a HUGE thankyou for helping me with pension options, and Dunstoh for his financial advice, and Sarkin for his mortgage advice (sorry mate, still looking for something to buy at the right price).
That's my personal New Years Honours List. I'll be backto edit and add more as I think of them, but thank you all,.... and thank the moon,......... and the sun,....... and the little flowers, and the clouds....0 -

I bet Jeremy Kylie's team are scouring these threads as we speak for potential new 'contestants' they can 'help' on 'national television'.

Gotta be Brit1234 his side splitting posts and sig, put him head and shoulders above others.
Notice how he has changed 50% falls in his sig from Dec 08 to Dec 09.
I didn't notice that. No my 50% price falls before Christmas 2009 posts are all examples of individual and sector falls. My 50% by Christmas 2009 prediction represents about the average sale prices then.
We are going to have some really big falls this year and bigger than last (based on recession but mostly restrictions on lending due to bank capital shortages).

Thank God you came online to point that out. I was worried about loss of sleep tonight due to lack of clarity.0 -

Absolutely! His posts were class and probably generated more 'discussion' than anyone else ever has.
Wonder what happened to all these Bulls..... Chucky is still around, but seems to have mounted the fence, as it were!I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
I think that was Squatnow.I like to read what Generali writes on here and I often agree with Neverdespairgirl's remarks.
(What was the name of that guy who kept writing strange sci-fi doom and gloom scenarios, he was hilarious.:rotfl: )
He has been on the other board this summer, advising people.
I miss his posts, he used to get a lot of flack, but underneath the ranting was a well-meaning soul.
The Angry Voice of Youth I used to call him....could never work out if he was an 18 yr old or a 30 yr old man.0
