thanks Stuartm.
I have also been accepted, received form etc to send back. A couple of queries though.
1. I have a current account (its a joint a/c) already with Barclays but all seems like I will get the £100. The online forms asks if you have an account with them already. I clicked yes - surely if you were not eligible if would have refused you at that stage. Maybe as its just in my name it will work?
2. Can you deposit money by moving say £250 back and forth 4 times or does you balance have to reach £1000 at one time
3. How long does the money need to stay in the account. I am thinking overnight so it shows properly.
any advice very welcome0 -
Hi
There are already some answers to the questions you've asked earlier on this thread, but as far as I know....
1. The offer is supposed to be only for new customers. However, if they've accepted you perhaps you'll be OK? Their T&Cs do state (I think) that this is not valid for existing customers, so don't be surprised if they try to weasle out of the free £100.
2.As far as I know, you can deposit several payments to make up the £1000 each month, provided the total adds up to £1000 each month. Also, as far as I know, you can take the money out again as soon as it has cleared. This is what I intend to to!

2. Yes, £250 x 4 will be fine, but probably irrelevant for you.
3. I'd suggest leaving it longer than that. See the account T&C's for clearing times. Again, probably irrelevant for you.0 -
stuartm and YorkshireBoy.
thanks for your replies but I'm still not sure. I have looked through the thread as indicated by stuartm and my questions have not been answered hence the reason they were asked.
I think I will contact Barcalys and get some factual response that may assist others
