  • HSshiver.gifMy goodness its freezing up here today, forecast snow for tomorrow though!!:D:D

My little uns are still not well, ds1 is still of school as up through the night coughing. Least ds2 actually slept through last night although i heard him coughing at times too. Gonna need a few early nights to catch up on my sleep. hoping they will be ok by friday as thats when i am due to go back to work. Fingers crossed!

Made some muffins last night as had the oven on for tea. Made yummy oat and choc chip!!! everyone loves them which has suprised me and not so bothered if ds1 just has one for breakfast as it has some good stuff in there. More yummy with a big glass of milk!HShungry.gif

Not much going on on the money front, checked my online banking and has made me a little depressed. the sooner i can get this overdraft gone the better!!!!!!
Oh is still taking his flask of hot stuff, and we have said that we will have to get back into meal planning and shopping from a list again. Luckily this year we are spending xmas and boxing day at each of our parents houses so wont need to buy much food over xmas as will be fed very well!!!!!

Good news on the santa deal for the breadmaker.......he has agreed!!!!:rotfl:that should save us a bit as the majority of our shopping is on bread products and milk! Buy bread, buns and teacakes....all of which can be made! also gonna start baking more and freezing them so there not all eaten in a day and will have some to put in there boxes.

Working on my new years resolutions............trying harder with the housework, washing and ironing will be one of them (but will prob be the first to be broken) and of course losing weight (whats a resolution if that doesnt appear?!:rotfl:)

right, off for acoffee.gifto help me stay awake!!!

  • rest.gifI am soooo tired. Ds2 up most of last night with his cough and wheeze. Ended up downstairs and eventually we fell asleep at about 4.30 on the sofa (yeah, bad i know but had the recliner bit out and he was asleep on my chest) Been to the docs today and there is no infection or anything there so have to ride it out! Easy for them to say, they dont have to do 3 twelve hour shifts in a row!!!

Went and got the boys kitted out with new clothes (money already saved and they were looking disowned in half mast stuff) and my fella now not happy that i have spent money!!!!!!!! :mad:He can talk!!!! (its my own fault, i have now created a monster:rolleyes:)Least the stuff should see them over winter and ds2 now in clothes that should fit for the next 6 months and not 3 months like before. Ds1 only really needed trousers as his legs seem to take a while to catch up with the rest of his body. Also got a load of whoopsied veg that i am gonna pre boil and freeze in portions so the OH has no excuse when it comes to sticking to the meal plan! he will just need to get it out the freezer and pop it into some boiling water for a few mins!! simples!;)

Well, i felt like a right proper mummy last night, did some little jelly pots for the fridge as snacks (sugar free) more oat muffins and sat and did ds1's xmas cards.......ALL BLUMMING 50 OF THEM!!!!!!! Figured i might as well make a start now on the baking as the more you do it the more it becomes a habit apparently. If i dont start then i never will. Not got round to baking any biscuits but the muffins and jelly seem to be doing the trick at the mo. Found a yogurt maker in the back of my cupboard so deciding whether to keep and try and use or ebay it......???? I got it when i was working in lakeland many moons ago (nice little saturday job) as it was returned.(staff privalige and money went to charity) not sure why so dont even know if it works. doesnt look like its been used much???????? may test then decide????

Not much else going on here, trying to stay awake more than anything else. Was naughty and did my free scratcheez then had a little go on the santa scratchcard and won another £8!!!!!! so both now over the withdrawel amount!! whoopy!!!!:D:D will wait till after new year so it can all be counted towards my £10k!

Hope all is good with everyone else, my tree is still standing and all decorations still on it. Not bad seen as its prob the first time ds2 has seen it (only 4 months old last xmas)

Aw poor little DS2. Hope he's feeling better - and you're feeling liess tired. Have some dodgy hugs LOL :grouphug:

Know what you mean about baking and getting on with it. What I try and do is make it an activity with DD2 (she's 3 and a half so has got the hang of it.) I'll try and make stuff she wants to eat so that mainly ends up being bun cakes and cookies and I'll let her pick what flavours they'll be.

Savoury stuff I'll usually either do myself when I have a free half hour in the day or alongside cooking tea. I used to spend a bit of time in the evening when DD1 was a baby doing cooking after she'd gone to sleep but don't have the energy at the mo!

  • Hey everyone, only 4 more sleeps till xmas!!!! charsanta.gif whoo hoo!!!!

HSdrift.gifWe have had loads of snow over the weekend which has made getting to and fro from work very interesting! I managed to get stuck on my hill on sat night coming home from work and havent been able to move it since! We used to have a grit box so we could grit the road ourselves but someone nicked it last year and the highway agency people wont replace it or give us some grit saying our road isnt on their list of places right now!!!:mad: All of us on our street have rung up thinking ringing in numbers may help but no...........just told to drive carefully!!!!!(which would be fine if the black ice would melt thats formed under the snow!

Well my cold has finally caught up with me (just in time for xmas) and my voice is threatening to go, its all husky with the occasional squeak. And my nose now rivals rudolphs......:o The boys are getting better now so at least they can enjoy xmas. Ds2 just a little grumpy as needs to catch up on the sleep he has missed (cue nice long naps) and ds1 just has a cough now.

Not much happening in the way of dfw, won £5 on my free scratheez yesterday so now have £25 to withdraw after new year! every little helps. Have loads of clothes to sort out and try and put on ebay, not sure when the best time to list would be as im sure ebay slows down a lot at this time of the year.

My fella is still raring to go with debt busting in the new year and has promised to keep it up and stick to the meal plan. He isstill taking his flask of coffee to work, just need to get into the habit of doing lunches the night before. He even did a mini shopping list this weekend when he went shopping and only spent £38!:D So glad i dont have to cook on either xmas day or boxing day as its meant we havent had to buy much food this week! Not bought any of the chocs and nuts and things this year so i dont have to finish them before i start trying to lose weight again. (lesson learnt from last year)

Right, enough waffeling from me, hope your all well?

  • Hey everyone!!! hope you all had a good xmas?

We had a lovely day, both boys were really excited and loved opening their pressies. we even taped a bag of gold coins to their doors and told them that santa checks before he delivers his pressies that your asleep and gives you gold coins if you are!!! Ds1 was so thrilled that santa had been to see him!!!!

Have been poorly since boxing day mind, really bad throat (even my dangly bit at the back is swollen) bad head and really bad back. couldnt physically lift my head off the pillow yesterday and have survived today taking paracetamol, brufen, honey and lemon drinks and lucozade!!!!! back at work tomorrow (after taking yesterday off sick) so hoping i get better real quick.

Got my new breadmaker (:D) and also got the biggest loser game for the wii, cant wait till i feel better to get going on that. Have a few weddings this year that i want to slim down for.....................also got the micheal mcintyre dvd....funny as!!!!!!

Still have snow on the ground here which is now turning into ice!!!! makes even stepping out the door very interesting..........bad news is we usually get the weather america has 2 weeks later................they have had yet more snow:mad:
