  • Hehehehe, I think i have just made the hbos cc 0%!!!!!! My fella recieved a letter through the post offering 0% if we transfer. So i transfered £500 from the egg2 to the hbos and that should make the whole amount 0%!!!!!!!!:D Its just one big juggling act!!!!!

I got £177 overtime this month so thats winging its way to the hbos card, my fella hasnt got his yet so will be ringing his boss later. I can feel my dfd reducing slowly! Just need to keep a lid on our spending now to help matters along.

Will update my sig when the transfer has gone through just to make sure....................

  • Cocked up big style on the balance transfer.............its not the whole card that is 0% it is just the balance you transfer!!!!!! doh!!!!

Anyway, i rang them up asked if they could lower the rate and without hesitation they have lowered it to 11.5%:D not as low as i would like but at least its an extra fiver off the debt a month!!!!!!

£100 went to mil so will have to update sig.

Work have missed off paying me a weeks hols from last month so that should be added on to next months wage, if it is i am hoping to have approx £950 extra!!!!! not all of it will be going to the debts though (as nice as that would be) as both boys need new clothes as both have had a growth spurt and i think i need some new stuff as still in the stuff i had when i was pregnant and would like some new stuff whilst i have some money. (plus the stuff i am in are size 14 and 16 and think i am just about a 12 now)

Right, off to update my sig.........................................................

  • I am officially jinxed!!!!!!

Had a bad day at work yesterday and came home to my fella saying that the ceiling in the hall had bubbled and we need it re-doing and then went to put some clothes away in my wardrobe and the whole of the inside collapsed!!!!!

so much for being able to treat myself with some of my overtime, i now need a new wardrobe and a ceiling!!!!! it never rains but it pours.......................

On a plus MY NEW DOORS ARE BEING FITTED AS WE SPEAK!!!!!!!! and boy do they look good!!!!! well worth the money and my house will be almost draft free! and we have decluttered downstairs in preperation so house is looking quite good (upstairs not so but i can just shut the doors on it)

Am so nearly at my target of £4k this year!!!!!!! will def of hit it next month if nothing else goes wrong in the process!!!!!! So glad i have got so much overtime, am hoping i get just as much next rota! Also need to get on with ebaying and get some more money coming in.

feeling a little down once more bout my money, but i will not go off the rails, i will perservere (sp?) and not let it beat me! I WILL BE DEBT FREE ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!

Hi Rags keep your chin up you will get there you have great determination :)
  • Hey pixie, am keeping my chin up and trying not to be negative and focus on the bad things...........................

but on a bad things note, my cat has been missing since fri night................i havent seen it all weekend but thought seen as i was working my fella had been feeding it, and he thought i had. Thought it very strange that it didnt come in this morning for his breakfast but thought it may be due to the noise of getting the doors put in, but still no sign...............................i hope its ok?!?!?!?!?!

Just been doing my wii fit, i am determined to get back into shape. Thought i'd better do some exercise looking at all the nice toned tummies on the tv. Not going to get mine back just sitting on the sofa. Have done half hour mix of yoga, muscle training and aerobic stuff on there and i am pooped!!!! (does that mean i am seriously unfit, should i be able to do longer???) Will def feel it in the morning but at least i will know i have worked my muscles. Am trying to walk as much as possible at work (which we do anyway) but taking the flights of stairs up to my floor (4 flights) instead of taking the lift and going to see someone rather than ringing them (when time allows) and seen as i have been having lots of trouble with my irritable bowel (sorry, too much info i know) i have making sure i am eating well. lots of fruit, salad, nuts and seeds and pasta in small amounts and plenty of water. Wonder how long it will be before i start to see serious results? how many times a week do you do your wii fit/any workouts????

My doors look great!!!!! and it is so nice not to struggle to unlock them and open them!!!!! so worth the money. hope we should start to see a fall in the gas bill now with no drafts, and the hall way now is really bright with the big window so wont need the light on as much.

work again tomorrow, i hope its a better day than i had on sunday....................

Hi Rags I really hope your cat comes home, it's probably been frightened from all the noise so fingers crossed. I noticed that you said you had been put on tablets for your irritable bowel, how did they diagnose it?....which tablets are they? my daughter suffers from IBS since having her gall bladder out some days it's worse than others......I feel I will need to drag her down to the Dr's yet again even tho she is 25......kids they are even a worry when they become adults!!
I am sure you will see some change in your weight soon all that walking and climbing those stairs at work should do it, I am suprised us nurses are not stick thin with all the walking thats done in a day, I once wore a pedometer for one 12 hour shift and I clocked up 14,000 steps....you only need a few bad shifts in a week and it soon drops off you......thats if you avoid all the sweets and biscuits thats given to the staff.
Hope your cat comes home safe and sound, as if you dont have enough to worry about!!! have a good shift at work XX
  • Hey pixie, i too have suffered for years, only diagnosed at the grand old age of 27!!!!! I had loads of time off school when i was a teen through it but as i was always the constipated side they just used to give me laxatives to make me go and told my mum to give me high fibre stuff. Have been back and forth with the same problem and in the end my mum said she thought it was ibs after seeing an ad on tv. Then it seemed to go away from age 18 although still got constipated at times.

Then it came back in 2006 real bad, but only had one episode of the major cramps and put it down to stress as was just about to go abroad with ds1 for the first time.

Only got diagnosed this time as i was the other end of the spectrum this time and had been for 3 weeks with the tummy cramps also. Gave him the whole history plus i am always bloated after eating etc and he finally said the magic words.

I am now taking mebevarine (sorry my spelling is awful after a 12 hour shift) and told if that doesnt help then to go back. To be honest though it hasnt done much and was just as ill on them the other night as i have been the past 3 weeks. will keep at it thoough for a little while longer, give them a chance to do its stuff.

I would take your daughter down to the gps and say you want it sorting. Drop in that your a nurse as if i feel im getting fobbed off i casually drop it in and find they usually stop fobbing me off!!!! (do you find that?!?!?!)

And yes, us nurses should be like rakes the amount of walking we do!!!!! ummmm, want to see how many steps i do in a shift now *goes off to find a random pedometer thats hiding somewhere in the house*

  • Well my resolve is really being tested today, my black cloud is getting blacker.

Our little car has just failed its mot, on things it failed on last year and paid a fortune to fix!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Its going to cost near £300, but i dont have that in the car fund as the family car broke not so long back and used the money up!!

so much for being able to treat my self with my overtime money, am going to struggle getting the boys some clothes at this rate!!!! wont get as much as i thought as not been underpaid on my hols. so will def not be able to pay off the hbos card in the next 3 months.........................................:(

the balance transfer i did to the hbos card thinking it would make the whole card 0% is showing on the hbos balance but not the egg2 balance??????? will keep an eye on that.

Also noticed that i havent been paid any tax credits since i renewed it!!!!!! will be rininging them up to find out why. Usually got it at the end of the month so have given them plenty of time now we are nearly in the middle of july!!!!!!

Right off to find some motivation and to stare at my finances hoping a solution jumps out at me.........................

Hugs Rags - Dark days are followed by brighter ones and you have to get through the rain to get to the Rainbow (pinched that from someone on forum!)

I have IBS too although touch wood mine has been fine for a while now. When it is bad peppermint tea really helped to ease it and a good old fashioned hot water bottle.
The tablets they gave me were called mintec and actually did contain mint!

Hi Rags think I am going to take my daughter back to the dr's and get her sorted once and for all her sypmtoms sound just like yours, she developed this 3 months after having her gall bladder removed............This time we wont be fobbed off!! or I will do my matron act that will put the fear of god into him lol.
Cant believe you are having it so hard financially there is always something that comes up when you are trying to get things sorted...but you have got determination and I am sure you can turn things around...life can be soooo carp at times. keep your chin up :)
