Youare doing so well a little bit of naughtyness every now and then is good for your soul!!!
How about leave the credit card at home? Then you wont be temted just to buy it, it might make you think about it and try and get a better deal? Dont forget to always try the "oh I have been offered a better deal at ..........windows" and see what they say.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Well, either it is a one off or they have improved their delivery times but my approved food order is waiting in the local parcel delivery depot ready for me to collect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:j:j:j
To be honest pipsmum, the place we are going are actually the cheapest for the doors so was going with them anyways. The extra 15% is a nice bonus as they dont have offers on usually. Will see...................December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Yippee!!!! approved food order unpacked and in my cupboards!!!!!
Am well impressed, wont have to buy snacky stuff and sweeties for ages now!!!!! hoping that will bring my shopping bill right down today as will really only need to buy fresh stuff and cereal and cordial juice.
Need to do a freezer shop today as my freezer is looking a tad empty, cant make a family meal out of frozen veg and that seems to be all i have in there..................
Seen as i was so close to living within our means this month, am gonna try extra hard next month, gonna get my shopping bill under control, no take aways, no spending coz i am bored and think i need things, and gonna have a word with OH as the garages have started creeping back in again.
I WANT TO GET THESE DEBTS GONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!
Got a letter through this morning sayingthat ds1 has been accepted into the school we wanted (is in their nursery so no suprise there really) and will be in school full time by october. This means that me childcare bill will go down by £500 or so then, giving us an extra wad every month that we have been paying out to put towards the debts. If there is no overtime going by then this will let me carry on overpaying as i am at the moment, but if i am still working extra then will be able to overpay by nearly £1k a month........... no whilst this sounds great and will help clear a massive chuink, im not banking on it actually happening!!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. I am sat here on the naughty step. why????? well, we went and bought the new front and back door. The damage?????? £1577!!!!!!!!!!!! so basically am now back to square one, all the money i have paid off i have just put back onto a card!!!!
But think they will pay for themselves with the heating bill, and it will be so nice not to have to struggle with baby in arms whilst struggling to unlock the door (spesh when its raining) (not quite sure who i am trying to convince more, me or you)
nothing else to report really, another payment to egg2 will be going out tomorrow so will be able to update total and ticker.
3 weeks till payday, seems ages from the last one this month!!!!
hope everyone is ok, gone queit again (or have i bored you all to sleep???)
love rags

Ha ha ha to Naughty step:rotfl::rotfl:
Yep me thinks you are trying to convince yourself more than us!
Think of it this way, you would have still got you doors even if you hadnt paid off so much of your debts so you would have old debts PLUS new debts if that makes sense?
(I know what I mean even if no-one else does!!)
You are still doing well so dont fret too much.

Thought i was doing so well, but just tallyed up the total debt amount and i am £1k ish more in debt than i was in jan!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad: makes me glad really that i had paid over £1k off this year or i would be further in debt. mainly down to the overdraft and now the doors .
I have changed the timings on my heating, turned the temp right down and stopped it coming on till after tea now it is warming up outside. this should help the heating bill a little.
Well, we spent quite a bit more than we intended to at the weekend so will go over the overdraft total of next month. It was well needed though, me and the OH went on "a date" to the cinema and then on sunday took the boys to a local farming village that has just opened. gave me an insight on what our life could be like if we hadnt got the debts and had free money. Has spurred me on a little as am sick of living in what feels like poverty (i know i am better off than some other people even with debts so feel guilty at my selfishness) have never been materialistic so not sure why it is bothereing me at the mo.
onwards and upwards, it is nearly the start of another month................

Just been catching up on your diary-I know where you are coming from with sometimes feeling like you live on the breadline-even though i'm not really. With me it is seeing other people spending money on clothes when I can't afford it and holidays and even icecreams for their kids. Never mind-the scrimping will be worth it-it's just that somedays are harder than others. You've done so well and you have bought windows not splurged the money on dresses and shoes and spray tans as some of my debts are due to (pre kids of course!)HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

Well, with all my doom and gloom yesterday i forget to tell you all about our mini earthhquake yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I say mini, it was 3.7 on the rictor scale, was at work and it sounded like a large gas explosion and the whole building shuck!!! not nice at the time but quite exciting afterwards. we're having a new lift built at work and the builders had just put all the scaffolding up so we thought that it had collapsed!!! they found it funny all the staff running to check they were all ok!
Well 3 days down, 2 full days and a training day to go................. things we do for money!!!!:rotfl:feeling a little now, but will keep going all in the name of dfw!!
Not much happening on the money front at the moment........just have to wait for payday now. Need to put some money to one side to pay for a caravan and some spends for the first week in june. The rest will be going to the debts.
Still need to get back to ebaying but even on my days off i just dont seem to get the time........... even with turbolister! have even stopped doing my daily clicks and scratchcards coz i dont seem to get the time.......... must try harder and get back into it. Free money after all.
cant believe its just about may already, where is this year going???!!!!!
Ooh, ds2 crawled today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:T:D:T:D:T:D my baby is growing up!!! hoping once he gets going fully it will stop him from being as whingy as he is now as the frustration will have gone. ds1 better watch out though as he has been dying to follow him about when he's playing..........

Congrats on DS1 getting into the school you wanted! & what a saving on childcare that will be?!
Shocking for the price of yours doors! I hope they've got gold leaf in the panes! But I definitely think you'll have a massive saving on your bills. I can't wait to get our windows and doors done.
