Whoo hoo i got paid!!!!!!!!! tax man took a little more than i was expecting but still managed to get £450 extra than what my base line wages are guestimated!!!!! and the next two months are going to be a little similar.........
so the plan for the extra money:- £70 to pay off the quad
- £100 to mil
- £140 egg1
- £140 egg2
Decided not to pay any extra off the loan despite earning interest as want to get rid of the lower amount debts first so it keeps me motivated.
Carp about your payday being messed up nats, but yay you on being able to handle the delay without so much of an ounce of panic!!!!!:T:T:T shows we are learning slowly........... before, we would of just spent any extra monies earned at work on nothing !!!!! a medal is deserved for us i think.
Well have got my rota for next month and the manager has still got me doing extra which helps my debt busting but needing to catch up on some sleep after having a poorly ds2 the past few days. Think on payday in may i will have about £300 extra as had a day off this month sick....... still not bad on top of what im already paying, hoping to hit the £2k mark some time next month......December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Morning Rags - I am hunting for a suitable medal for us.... I will post it on here as soon as I find it!
Fab news at your extra pay!! That is going to make such a dent into outstanding balances!!! Can't believe you are racing toward £2000 at such a speed! I need a new plan - can't have you getting that far ahead of me!! lol
Just a quick note to wish you and your family a lovely weekend.... I hope the sunshines. It makes everyone feel better!
Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -

Wow well done on being able to pay all that extra towards your debts!:T:T:T
It has got me thinking, I have some debts but not quite so much leftover to play with, so I am thinking of motivating myself by paying off another small debt, even though it's interest free, to get me going again as I feel I have lost the momentum somewhat. So any extra we have will go towards my HB overpayment (need to check the total outstanding at the moment) as I think it helps to have small targets to work towards - just looking at a whole mess of debts in front of me is soooo very daunting.
Great work and keep it up!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

How bout this as a sort of medal nats??!!
Oh and HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!!!
Am off now for two days, thank god!!!! but doing 5 twelve hour shifts next week. Got a letter yesterday from the bank to say that i wont start paying my loan till may??? i only thought i had a 2 month break but it turns out i have 3. Think i may just make a payment though as had budgeted one and they will still add the interest on any ways.
Hi and welcome jo_r, looking at the debts is so daunting isnt it. Think we are right to pay some of the small debts off even though they are interest free, i know the feeling of stagnating as the debts go down but they are still there.
Nats, im not sure how long this overtime will last so need to do something with the extra money as if we get used to having it, we will come unstuck when my hours finally go back to what im contracted to. Might aswell try and get my debt down with it, besides, think i have more debt than you to start with!!!!!!!!!! You are doing really well though.................... you are more on target with your budget and clearing your overdraft than me.

My and the oh have decided to take the kids on a short break at the end of may. I have that week off anyway and thinking of going down to prestatin (sp?) north wales. Plenty for the kids to do and a break away from normal life for us. Going to use the overtime i get in next month wages and put whats left after the break to the debts. Hoping to stay in a caravan/shallet so will be able to make meals after a quick visit from aldi or something down there. one meal will be a treat out for ds1.
