Wow jo_r, your £200 a month still puts me to shame at the mo. I go thinking right, i will only spend £50, to get to the till and find i have spent £80!!!! this is again what i did last night and i really thought i had done it as took advantage of lots of offers (for stuff i was going to buy anyways) Next time i am gonna take a calculater with me and add it up as i go round.
I also find that buying the fruit and veg whacks my shopping bill up loads, and i even buy them loose as its cheaper than pre packed stuff!!!!! If the government really wants to tackle obesity, they need to reduce fruit and veg prices so that its cheaper than just buying a ready meal! (i kid you not, i checked!!!)
I wish aldi was open much later than it is, i find that every other week i am doing the shopping after work so the only shop that is open is asda!!!!!
well, coz i had 2 days off sick this month
i think i will only be getting £250ish extra for our short break next month. Not bad and plan not to spend much more than that. BUT the following month i will be back up to bringing in over £450/£500 in extra as have so many extra days. Just keep your fingers crossed for me that i stay well and do not get poorly sick.
Had another wobble yesterday as just feeling down bout spending all this time extra at work at not with the kids. I know its a needs must situation and am grateful for the extra hours, but it doesnt stop you from feeling bad about doing it.................... but as i always tell people i must keep smiling, will be debt free one day!!!!!
right, must go get ready for work,
have a good sunday everyone!

Well it turns out the week we have booked off and planned to have a few days away is only half term week!!!!! been looking today at caravan holidays and just coz the kids are off the prices are ridiculous!!!!! have yet to find one below £300 for 4 days.
Someone OH knows has got a web site address for cheap caravan holidays so fingers crossed........................................
This week isnt going to be very dfw, both boys needs new trainers (bless ds1, his toes will be poking through the end of his soon) and i really want (yep, i said want, not need, which is why this week is a non dfw week) a patio set so we can sit out in the garden when it is so nice. Found an ideal one in asda for £50................................ will see.
Ds1 is back at nursery today, have never seen so many kids so excited at being back at school!!! feel sorry for the teachers today, the weather is so, so nice today it will be hard for them to get the kids back inside to do their structered activities! Am sat on the floor outside whilst typing this (hence the want for the patio set) and ds2 is asleep in his pram in the shade. BLISS!!!!!!:DDecember 2018: £20,850.24. Morning Rags!!
Just to say "yes" I have found it easier to clear my HSBC OD now I have my A&L account. I am just treating my HSBC OD as a debt - and paying it off first.
(ps, have given up on long-range forecasting though!! Just doesn't work and then I get the hump when my dates slip! lol)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hey everyone!!!! hope all are having a good day???
Well, bought my new patio set, looks lovely!!!! but today it is
just my luck. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something????????
Have given up trying to go away on the half term week, cant justify spending the money they are asking for...............going to see if i can take the week after off. Have checked and the prices drop right back down to £100-£150!!! Will prob be our last holiday for a while as ds1 starts school in sept so wont be able to take him out for hols like i can now. (really begrudge paying more coz the kids are off)
Me and the OH are a bit fed up at the mo, seems we need a lot of stuff at the mo and everyone around us seems to be getting lovely new things. His sister and her husband are earning much less than us but have just bought a new car (on finance) they are in a dmp but when her husband got made redundant and didnt get another job for quite a few months, they didnt pay the dmp, and instead of throwing them off it, they knocked £2k off their debt!!!!!!!!
I know im being very sensible and paying it off, but struggling along, with no luxuries for the family........................we are borrowing games for the ds as they have hundreds and we cant afford to get ds1 any.
Enough of feeling sorry for myself, i dont even want to "keep up with the jones's" just feel like sometimes the working class get left behind, the more you work to provide for your family, the worse off you are.
That reminds me, i need to ring the tax credit people up as have now got my p60. Really dont want to ring them up, hate talking to them after one of them caused my massive meltdown before i went back to work.........
Got a letter through the door from the local windows and doors people, they are having the open day on sat and if you place an order there on sat, they will knock 15% off their quotation price!! Now the dilema - would you increase your debt getting new front and back doors to save money in the long run on the heating bills??????????????????????????

Just placed an order with approved foods, £20's worth and i got a lot for my money. Mainly snacky things and chocolates (not good for my diet) but stuff i buy anyways and will help my shopping bill go down a bit.
Ooh, also on the old style board, someone is posting recipes for chinese food like they do in the take aways!!!!! now, we have been a bit naughty this month and had a few take aways so may do some of the dishes we normally get and pop them in the freezer for our cant be @rsed to cook, want a !!!!!! moments!!!
Nothing much else to report, cant update anything till the end of the week when another dd for egg2 comes out.
Still no nearer on deciding bout my doors......................

Your cook book sounds like an ace book! I have to get into making meals from scrap. I don't think my insides like processed food anymore.
I'd go for the doors. With me working now we have a list of things we're allowed to do, and windows & doors are one of them. Purely for the heating bill over Christmas!
I only found out about Approved Food the other day! I'm hoping to grab some work lunch snacky things to save on that.

This is really late, but have just filled in my spreadsheet and got it all up to date.
March was a bad month month and according to the spreadsheet we overspent by £500, but this month we are in budget with £44 left. Now i have to do the shopping tomorrow and get gogo juice for the cars so will have overspenyt but not by much this month!!!!!:T:T:T:T i am very pleased with us, i really thought we had blown it way over as have been naughty with several take aways and the new patio set..................
Just been trying to weigh up the overdraft to guesstimate what it will be the day before i get paid and thinking.hoping it will be just over the £2k mark (most of my bills come out at the begining of the month before payday) which will bring my total debt amount down nicely. I FEEL ANOTHER TICKER COMING ALONG!!!!!!!!!!!
Have got some more overtime to slot in this month, (am working 6 days next week but one day is purely training) so luckily will bring my overtime money back up to compensate for my 2 days sick. (not thinking bout how much that would of been had i not been sick) looking at having enough overtime money to book a small break away, spending money and pay a little extra off the debts.
Junes payday will be another big one (i am determined, no more sick days) and will be able to pay another slice off the debts.
Its the open day tomorrow for the window and door company, we have decided to go and have a look, with the credit card safely in my purse, will decide whether to get the doors when we get there. When they came round they didnt have a catalouge of front doors they do so i just picked one they had shown on their web site, one of the most expensive ones, so hoping to find another nice one to bring the cost down then adding the 15% off too.
Ok enough waffling, but will be able to sleep now i have got all the numbers and rubbish out of my head onto paper (so to speak)
am off to bed
nite all
