The doors are a little pricey, but we have gone for quite modern doors, still pvc but are grained to look like wood, the front door will be black on the outside and white on the inside and will have a large pane of decorated glass in to brighten up the hall way. The back door has actually got a venision (sp?) blind between the 2 panes of glass so can block the sun out when needed.
Didnt need to go as fancy but thought we will have them for years (they are guarenteed for 10 years) so why not go all out?! will be our last big expenditure (apart from blinds for the windows in the next year or so) for the house and have pratically done everything on our "wish list"December 2018: £20,850.24. :jWhoo Hoo!!!!! my blueberry bush has arrived!!!!!!!!:j
Well i say bush, it looks more like a twig in some soil at the moment.......thought it would come with a biggar pot (in just a plastic pot at the mo) but have a huge pot ready and waiting on the decking. Have put it onto my kitchen windowsil for now to get the sunlight but away from the frost (just in case!). in a bowl of water at the mo to rehydrate it from its journey.
Still waiting for my potato growing kit..........hoping that will come in the next day or so as its starting to get a bit late to start them off.
looking forward to picking and eating my crops!!!! might have a look for some more things that will grow in my pots................................ beetroot? carrots? would love a cherry tomato plant but dont have a greenhouse for it...............
not much else dfw happening, most bills come out tomorrow so will have some idea of my overdraft total before payday. 10 days to go!!!!!!
resisting the urge to check if approved foods have anything new, the biscuit flutes from there are very addictive!!!!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

O.K, have only got today off this week and working all the bank holiday weekend (time and a half on monday so not moaning) so my to do list for today is:
- puree yet more fruit and veg and stuff for ds2
- housework
- at some point do the ironing and put away
- washing hokey cokey
- weekly shopping
- find something to get my brother for his birthday?????????
- ring tax credit people with my total wage from last year
- fill in and send off form for ds2 child trust fund thingy
- find the forms need to sign and send back for the kiddies bank accounts
- fill the freezer as have nothing in there
- organise the freezers so that have food in the house freezer that OH can bung in the freezer for him and ds1 so they actually eat real food not out of a tin
- maybe bake some yummy things to keep them happy for the week
Oh, ds1 told the OH the other night that he wishes mummy and daddy could stay at home with him.........................................how gutted did i feel this morning when Oh told me
. He said he didnt tell me at the time as i was already feeling down and gutted at working all the time and he didnt want to make me feel worse. How do you explain to a 4 year old that we are in debt and need to work so much to pay it off whilst keeping the roof over our heads?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well most of the bills has gone out today but not in the overdraft as much as i thought as got the tax credits through yesterday:D must ring them today or they will make me repay if they are overpaying me.
hoping to be good the next 2 weeks before my payday, really want to come in under £2k in the overdraft before this payday, fingers crossed!!!!!

Yeah, i have finally finished a week of so many shifts (1 day off within 7 12 hour shifts) and have 2 days off!!!!!!
Ds2 is now very mobile but is now my happy baby again as not frustrated!!! went in to get him this morning and he was stood up in his cot!!!!! taken him ages to become mobile and now he is managing to stand up by himself!! ummmm, me thinks i need to get the stair gates out and in place!
Once again, its my day off and i am purreeing blumming fruit and veg! cant wait till he has mastered lumps and can give him the food we are having! got some veg soup to try him with at lunch time. luckily the OH has decided (by himself i may add) to help out around the house a little more so i dont need to spend hours catching up on housework today!!!!!! gold start to the OH!! he has done a good job too..........
still not much happening on the money front, next bill goes out on the 11th and my payday is the 10th so will have lots of activity next week money wise. my overdraft is looking good but only because my childcare money hasnt gone out yet. Thinking the cheque wont clear in time to go out before payday so will have 2 months going out of this months pay, so next months overdraft total will go back up.
my blueberry twig has now started growing little leafs!!!!! its still on my kitchen window sil as want it to be growing well before i plant it out. my strawberry plant have started to flower!!! even the ones me and ds1 planted from seed about 2 years ago, it has taken them this long to flower!!! was hoping to move them into another planter so i can grow them downwards and get more plants from the original ones for free (does that make as much sense as it did in my head?) but not sure i can now they have flowered????? anyone any ideas??????
Still waiting for my potato growing kit:mad: might have to contact them soon if i havent recieved it by next week, getting a bit late to plant them and they said i would recieve it in april! would of thought i would have got it with my blueberry twig as ordered them from the same people at the same time..............................
have talked to my fella about a joint isa and he thinks it could be a good idea. but thinking we should put £20 in a month (£10 each) as it will be over £1k in each tax year. still not sure what it could be used for, although we did think either a wedding in a few years time or to pay chunks off the mortgage when we are debt free..............although think that is going to be a while off yet. Love looking at peoples sigs and seeing how much they have managed to pay off, then realise they have been doing it for 3-4 years.
..................
oh well, in it for the long haul,
love rags

You know how to have fun don't you!!! PUREEING!!!! :rotfl:
Bless ya - glad your OH has stepped up to the mark and is doing bits round the house to help you!! Nothing worse than feeling like you would have had an easier day if you had been at work!!
Sorry - my knowledge on strawberry plants is non-existant!! My radishes and carrots are growing (yay) but I don't know what has happened to my spring onions (boo).
I know what you mean about peoples signatures!! Sometimes I wish there was a magic wand and I could banish all my debt away! I think I have learnt my lesson over the past 6 months!! I really don't want this to go on for (what may well feel like) forever!! How long does your haul have to be before you can join the 'long-haul club' on here? We will get there - eventually! :T
Have a great couple of days off and I'll be back to catch up later.

Hey prophecy!!!! glad all is ok with you, shame about your diary though........
Dont know how to upload pictures on here or i would post one of my twig...... bless it. my friend planted one in her garden last year and it has only just grown to a reasonable height and she said she got no fruit from it last year.........
Rang up about my missing potato kit using the number on the email, only to be told after 15 mins of waiting in a que that they dont deal with orders from where i ordered and they will have to give my details to another department and they will get back to me......................no phone call back yet today............
well, did a freezer shop so it is now nice and full!!!!!! its lovely not having to make meals from nothing!!! no excuse now for ds1 to be eating out of a tin. (have purposefully not bought any this week)
really want a cheap walk in greenhouse (plastic so it can be moved) been checking out the greenfingered board for any info on there............. then i can do tomatoes and stuff!!! my nan even does cucumbers in hers which ds1 loves!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Think this grow your own fascination of mine is getting a little out of control....... just been looking at dwarf sized fruit trees that you can grow in pots!!!! they do cherry, apple, pear and plum trees!!!! now i buy most of them fruits all year round, so can i class it as money saving after the initial cost of getting trees and tubs and soil???? and im sure i found a satsuma tree too................
now, the side of my house is a little shady but does get some sunlight in the morning so wondering if i could chance putting them there? going to put shingle down and wanted something there to stop it looking so plain.....December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
