Hi Rags
Booooo to bad weeks
Right here we go:
1 - Yes it is dreadfully upsetting but DS missing you is natural and doesnt make you an appalling mother. You are a very good mum and by working so hard to be debt free you are thinking of the boys.:A All the time they see you being sensible with moey is teaching them to also be sensible with money. One of my biggest hopes for Pip is that he doesnt get into huge debt like his silly mummy and daddy.
2 - The fact that you havent automatically jacked it all in when its got tough means that you do want to be debt free.:money:
3 - Being debt free will be a wonderful feeling:j, you will know you achieved it by yourself, think of the satisfaction you get when you see your ticker going down. I know this makes you happy as I have read and felt your excitement when its gone down a bit more.
4 - Only doing a few extra shifts here and there is a brilliant idea. A little extra for debts, more time with DSs, less stressed out mummy, everyones a winner!!
5 - And most importantly - Hugs x x :heartpulsDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
Hey all, thanks for all your messages..........and i know your all right.
Hi emms!!!!! welcome to planet rags!!!!!! normal service will resume shortly......:D
Made myself get up this morning, have a shower and go to work this moring, all the while fighting the urge to ring in sick and hide from everything in my bed. That in itself was a days work.
Had a word with one of the managers asking that if they are putting me down for extra can it be for no more than 4 days a week with more than a day off inbetween. Explained what i was working at the mo and that i just cant cope with it with ds2 having some restless nights with teething. Said i still want to do extra as the money is very handy (they know what my childcare bill is each month) and will happily do 4 days every week if they need me 2 (that will be an extra £400 or so a month extra).
ITS PAY DAY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! the tax man must be rubbing his hands together with what he got off my wage. Not sure yet whether all this overtime is worth it as he seems to get more benifit than me. Anyway, have got another £450 extra this month for the few days away, spends and the other £200 to go extra on debts. Thinking i will prob pay £100 extra to mil so its under £2.5k and £100 to the hbos card as thats not 0%. What ever is left from the holiday spends money will go to the egg cards.
Feeling like i am getting back to my old self, a grey cloud still hangs over but least its not black anymore.........................is it sad that i do like my ticker????;):D:rolleyes::o
You are right pipsmum, if i wasnt meant to be beating my debts, i would have jacked it all in and gone wild!!! (like all the other attempts before the real lbm) just need to remember that there will always be good and bad days.
Worked out though that we should (touch wood and fingers crossed) have paid it all in the next 4-5 years, then i can actually work part time and live comfortably..................but there will be no need as both boys will be in school!!!!!!!! hows that for ironic?????????December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Well, the mist has lifted and i have found where i left my sense of humour!!!!!:j:j:j ha ha ha!!
hope everyone is ok?? one day off tomorrow and yep, i will be pureeing!!!!
but will also be planting some seeds, just bought some beetroot seeds and got some tomato seeds the other day. Me and ds1 will be doing it so hoping for a nice day so it wont be all over my kitchen.
Aldi had some seed pots (9cm i think) in a sort of proagator (sp) for a fiver so might see if they have still got some, will be easier for ds1.
will be paying off some more to the debts in the next few days so watch out for the updated ticker!!!! hoping to reach or go over the 50% mark!!!! may have to revise my target................... maybe double it to £8k to make it more of a challenge?????
well, am off for a nosey round everyones elses diaries...........
love rags

Ds2 is now 8 months old but still looks the same and ds1 is 4 years old!! and yep, i too think he is gonna be a charmer!!!! lol!!!
Feeling happy again, and glad too. Although have too many shifts coming again this week (really dont know what the manager was thinking when she did my shifts) so gonna try and get them to cover one of my shifts this week to give me a break.
Have come out with a massive coldsore on the end of my nose(of all places to get one) and i always get them when i start to get run down, my bodies warning to me that im doing too much. Less extra money next month but im thinking that less money is better than no money when im off sick as ill........
Ooh, money should of come out today to pay the egg card............. need to pay the mil and the hbos card and can update the ticker!!!!!! Think all the extra money i get will go towards paying the hbos card first, get rid (again):o
hope all are well??? has been a sunny day here but very windy. perfect weather to dry the clothes outside in!!!!!
