OOooo sounds like foods gonna get messy - the best way kids eat - I think its great when they're covered in it from trying to feed themselves... so cute (albeit I'm not a mum so have never had to clean them up after - can you tell???
)
Mmmm toast, scrambled egg & beans - sounds good, but I now have to go have my healthy lunch (boring!!)
Ooo not up on my caravan holidays hun - is there a website for private ones? Maybe a family who has kids at school won't be using theirs until school holidays so june could be free??LBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never

Hey peeps!! hope your all well??
My grandad went into hospital to have a routine op to remove a clot of some kind from near his kidneys, ended up having a heart attack and losing a leg as they couldnt get his circulation back. The heart attack was caused by have too many operations within a short space of time......... but he is looking much better now. He is slowly putting weight back on and is no longer down in the dumps......wants to be back out and about. Is doing really well at home and he and my nan are coping really well, no need for home care at the moment!!!! just hope my nan doesnt wear herself out and isnt too proud to ask for help when she needs it.
Told ds1 that he was like captain hook and the crocodile ate his leg..........he was really fascinated by the fact he only had one leg now (he used to love playing with him when we used to visit, my poor grandad used to be shattered when we left) and even showed him how to hop so he could still play!!!!! when we left he told him to practise hopping ready for his next visit!!!!! ha ha ha!!!!!
Have found an available caravan in the park i really want to go to in yorkshire. Close enough so not a long drive for the boys but far enough away to feel like a holiday. It is a private rent and is a little more than i had hoped for but there is so much to do in the park and surrounding towns that i dont mind. Found a host of threads on the old style board about what to take and cooking whilst on a caravan holiday so will be reading that in the next few days.........make up for the extra cost of the caravan.
Not much else to report on the debt busting side. Have only got next week to work then am off for 2 weeks so will have to get my bum in gear and get listing on ebay!!!! need it shifting now as sick of the sight of it. Has ebay picked up yet???
ooh, will be paying the mil tomorrow so will be more off the total paid, added it up again the other night and seem to be going in the wrong direction!!!!!
Oh well, my xmas fund is going well but messed up with the account for the cars as didnt have enough in for OH's car insurance so that went on to a cc bumping it up a little. will have enough in for mot's and tax's though, and will hopefully build up enough for my insurance due out of the begining of the year and so on. thats the plan anyways.
Maybe a little good news on the horizon, The OH has started on a healthy eating and doing more exercise regime as, i quote "doesnt want to be fat when we marry"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one step closer...............now just need to be out of debt so we can afford to get married and he can do it without me knowing (we have a joint account, everything in, everything out that i check online religiously everyday)

Hey all, its my day off today, and yup, its raining!!!!!!!!!! typical!!!
not much planned for today, enjoying my time with the boys, have kept ds1 off nursery today(bad, bad mother) as dont feel as though have seen him this week.......
we were planning on planting some seeds (beetroot, tomato and some seeds i got out of a pepper) but the weather is too naff. Its helping my strawberries though and they have come on so well since moving them into there new home, more space for their roots. Just waiting for a nice day and will be able to plant my blueberry bush out. Got an email saying that my potato growing kits would be sent out in the next couple of days last week, but have still not recieved them. Looking on the gardening sites last night and i really want to grow sugar snap peas as i love them but everywhere seems to have sold out!!!
going to book the caravan later today, the whole holiday is going to cost me all the extra money i have in my wages this month so not much extra to throw at the debts, but thinking we need to enjoy some of the money before we get bored and fall off the wagon completly!!! hopefully this will give us our motivation back and will be the first holiday where we have the money for the hols, fuel for the travel and spends!!!! i think that deserves a :T:T:T:T. we really wouldnt be going if we didnt, so this site has helped us change our attitudes towards money and nice things.December 2018: £20,850.24. Rags - you have it spot on - I'm the same at the moment - I haven't made much dent in the debts - but I'm not adding to it and I've learned to say no to things when I don't have the money.
I think if you can truly say its changed your mindset about debt - then you're most of the way there!!!
P.S I don't see how wanting to keep your son at home from nursery makes you a bad mum!! Far from it!!

Thanks Emms, although am now starting to wonder why i kept ds1 off school as he is being a right monster.......and where does the attitude come from???? i remember doing the same as he is now so it must be in bred, but hell what a temper!!!!! At the moment he hates us, never wants to see us again and is leaving tomorrow........even threw in i want you to go back to work so i dont see you mummy:mad: they really know where to push the buttons dont they?!!!!
well, went shopping and proud to say i only spent £40!!!!! well done me, and that included some meat for meals for the weekend as im working. seen as my fella has cut out biscuits and crisps and the like my shopping bill has reduced a bit, so gonna transfer the £10 left in the budget to the hbos card!! going to do this everytime we come under budget for something including the bills, this should hopefully get rid of the debts quicker and gives us a reason to try and come under budget (if that makes sense)........... sort of a payment a day but by bills.;)
Ooh, almost forgot, paid mil £100 so now owe £2.5k!!!! woo hoo a whole £500 off!!!
my order of debts to concentrate on is as follows (idea nicked from nat)- Hbos cc @ 16.9%
- Egg 2 cc @ 0% till next year
- Egg 1 cc @ 0% till next year
- Mil @ 0% but want to pay her back as soon as
- Hbos loan @ 7.9%
- Overdraft @ ridiculous high %
