  • Hi nat and thanks, your suggestion about the seperate bank account is a good one, well i have to use the a+l one for something!!!!! Think i will transfer £200 into there when i get paid )as the egg cards and loan are on direct debit) and then its there if i need it at the end of the month. if not its a good chunk to throw at the debts.

    Did you get the hang of a+l's internet banking???

    Hi Rags!! Glad to see the mad smilies have gone!!

    Had a look at the A&L internet banking - its seems ok - loads of passwords and bits to remember (more than any other account I have ever used online) hopefully that makes it super safe!! lol I 'spose I will only get an idea of how good it is when things start happening - but not had a list of DD's and SO's to change from them yet. Which is good as it means I have more time to get my OD down!!

    Glad the suggestion of the separate account was a good one - never know if I'm over stepping the mark / being a bit of a div!! lol

    Laters - off for dinner!! x

  • flipcake.gif HAPPY PANCAKE DAY EVERYONE!!!!!!!! i love shrove tuesday, there is no other day that allows you to pig out on yummy pancakes for tea without feeling guilty and undernuroshing (SP?) the kiddiwinks!!!:D

    Ds2 is very poorly sick, decided at 9pm last night that he will see how far he can project his sick to, took up my space in the bed (couldnt lie him down in crib as kept being sick and nearly choking) propped up on my pillow. He finally fell asleep gone 11pm and i managed to move him back to his crib at around 4am, only to have him throw up and nearly choke at 6.30am!!!!! needless to say i am sooooooo tired. He has thrown his breakfast back up but has kept 4oz of milk down so think i will leave the solids for now and just let him have milk for the day................................

    thought you looked a little lonely in the £3k overdraft club mummy so thought i would join and keep you company.........................:rotfl: am still a little miffed about it but trying to be positive (this is my new attitude, have wasted so much energy being mad about things i cant change in the past, mostly at work........)

    I have decided to do the whole overpaying debts at the end ofthe month, that way i wont be leaving myself short and will hopefully help to prevent the slump i feel the last few weks before payday when i cant make any payments.
    Think i will be ringing the mortgage people today to arrange the mortgage holiday.......it will help so much to get way from the overdraft limit (which is my highest interest debt) needs must.

    Have signed up for 20 no spend days in march, will be working 12 days or so and they will be no spend days as work 8-8. just 8 days off to be no spend days........think i can do it!!!

  • Right, thats it, kiddiewinks are all tucked up in bed and i have flopped on the sofa with a brew!!!!!
    Its been a hard day, ds1 playing up today and ds2 being poorly sick and generally out of sorts so whingy. tried him with a yoghurt at tea time as he had kept down his milk but nope, sicked it up.

    Wanted an easy bed time so have just been soaked playing with them in the bath. Really need to get ds2 a bath seat as he was like a slippery fish he was that excited bout splashing. Didnt even seem ill the 15 mins he was in there. luckily they both fell staright asleep as soon as the layed down!!! i pray the quiet lasts.

    havent done many of the jobs on my what small things list............havent even got the energy to throw the ingredients into the breadmaker to make a loaf never mind doing the ironing...........

  • Right, i am offically not safe with money yet!!!!!! Bought the bits and bobs i needed for work like shoes and pants (shoes were £18 from clarks, but in the factory shop, were £35 in the shop!!!!!!) and got the bits needed for ds1's room. I actually managed to get ds1's light for th eceiling for £5 when it was £18 in argos!!!! thank you instore (it even had th eargos number on the top of the box)

    My problem was thinking it was ok to spend the money as had upped the overdraft!!!!!!!!!!:mad: :mad: :mad: bad, bad, bad girl.

    so to help me get back on track i have listed 5 items on ebay and have found the turbo lister which will help, is much easier than the auctiva place. Means i can list an item or two when i have time then upload when i need too!!!!! perfect. I have no kiddies again on fri so hoping to get loads listed ready to upload possibly sunday. My only problem will be posting times as i work shifts, hoping if i email them th edate i will be posting it will help with feedback. This time i am not gonna spend the money, it is to put to my debts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Ds2 a little better today, actually managed to keep a little food down but still full of a cold. Had some diahorria (how crap, a nurse and i cant spell it, now i know why we say loose stools instead:D ) after his tea but he didnt seem bothered by it. Bought him a bath seat today so he really loved his bath tonight with ds1!!! somehow i still managed to get soaked!!!!! again, the bath helped send them to sleep straight away!! wish i could give them a bath every night but it flares ds1's eczema up even if moisturised afterwards. ho hum.

    This week is going way too fast............4 days till i go back :(

    Just caught up with the posts, Rags dont be disheartened you are still doing really well.
    Pip has a bath seat and it makes it a bit easier, not such a slippery fish then!! He also has "loose stools" so it must be abug going all around.

    I hope the rest of the week slows down for you x x x
    Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] :eek: £5700

  • Monthly Income: Total: approx £3485 (based on march having 5 weeks)
    My wage: approx £1000?
    Oh wage: £1960
    Child benifit: £125
    Tax credits: Approx £400?

    Monthly Outgoings: total: approx [STRIKE]£3038.52 [/STRIKE]£2901.52(need final figures for childcare and petrol)
    Personal loan = £0 (second free month)
    Joint Life Ins = £22.33
    Sky/broadband = £32.00
    House phone = £15.00
    Council tax =£0 (second free month)
    Water =£33.07
    Dentist =£16.50
    TV License =£11.61
    Mortgage =£865.01
    Gas & Elec =£70

    Mobiles *3 = £160 ( really need to cancel third phone)
    Childcare = approx £760?
    Food =£250.00
    Kids savings =£10
    My savings =£50.00 (pays for car tax, ins etc & emergancies)
    Petrol =£250??
    Xmas saving = £50.00
    Pay back mil = £50
    Egg 1 = £50
    Egg 2 = £50
    Added: pin number -[strike] £76[/strike] has come out of febs money
    final bill for gas and elec = £156+[strike]£61[/strike] has also come out of febs money
    This should leave [strike]£446.48 [/strike]£583.48after paying debts!!!!!!!!

    Going to put the council tax money and loan money to one side so that will be £270 that could be used extra for repaying debts on top of the payments already budgeted on. That should leave £313.48 for anything i have under budgeted and any extras that crop up. The money aside will not be paid off the debts untill the motrgage has gone out 1st april. Means i am well short of march's target and was short in feb, really need to get ebay going and collect my free money..................should catch up once my cashback arrives in april?

    plan for £270: £70 to pay off quad, £50 to mil and £75 to each egg card. fingers crossed i wont need it. Least aprils budget will be a little more accurate as i will know what i will be getting in wage and paying out in childcare and petrol etc.

    Recieved a letter from the water company and the direct debit is dropping by £2!! not a lot but adds up over the year.

    Got a calculator free when we opened up ds2's bank account and it is a little one small enough to go in my bag so will be adding up the total as i go round the shop now to keep myself withing budget. Will be over this week as need another box of nappies and wipes. (one packet of wipes and nappies from the box is going to childminders so dont have to lug everything there everyday!)

    I have decided to give up negativity for lent, need to look at the positive in every situation and stop dwelling on what i cant change!!

  • Loving the snowball calculator!!!!! It has shown that if i pay £100 a month to both egg cards and mil then i can be debt free by nov 2013!!!!! 5 months knocked off!!!!! now i want to get that down more............ i am a stubborn mule at times. :D
    only have to find an extra £150 a month to do it, could that be the sound of my next challenge??!!!
