We don't get bank holidays in this house unless Mr G takes the day off. He took this Christmas off but next year I think he's going to have to work 7-5 :( He's on nights at the moment which is alright usually but a pain keeping the children quiet!

He's just gone out to get me some wellies and some Indian for our dinner. I'm trying to decide whether to wait until the bread is done to feed the children soup, got about another 30 minutes.

mudbath - great news on the bath and the painkillers. I've not been taken mine over the last week and it's not been too bad - will have to see what it's like when I'm back at work!

Sorting - well done on getting started

loopy - welcome back - hope the water hasn't done any damage

Hawthorn - I agree with toots - Shout at people!!

ashteadgirl - welcome (to the madhouse!!) I reckon teenage boys could manage one job a day!

pigpen - thanks for the weekend list ;) It's great for me as I still have to do my planning for Monday

Evening all just poping in before I go to the Panto.

Did really well with the kitchen - just need OH to mop the floor whilst we are out.

mairead - your name backwards actually read 'daer I am' sorry to be pedantic but just so you know

Nan has been taken in to hospital. Long story but Mum got the GP back (she wanted to yesterday but Nan would not hear of it) and he called an ambulance. They are running tests/doing xrays but it is for the best as she was needing somebody to go in to visit numerous times a day and that is not really fair on Mum who is 20 minutes drive away. Hopefully she will start to recover and some care can be put in place before she returns home.

Time to quickly get changed. Have a nice evening and I'll see you all later.

Just discovered this thread - reckon the weekly list could totally change my unorganised life so going to start next week. Will let you know my progress with 2 teenage boys and OH that works long hours this could really help. May even alocate 1 job per week to each boy and see how it works!!!!

Hi ashteadgirl. You are very welcome to join us.
Our illustrious leader pigpen adds a new list to the first post every day so dive in and do what you can - you dont have to do it all just to whatever level you can reasonably manage depending on how much time you have available -everybody has different life styles and have to work round jobs, children and OHs
It would def be a good idea to get the rest of the family involved- quite a lot of the Mums on here do it and it makes your life a little easier and its good for them to learn.
Make sure you read the 1st post as it gives you all the info and abbreviations - Dont stress about the mess - your home didnt get in a mess overnight so dont expect a miracle and it become tidy in a day!!! Remember its BABYSTEPS - just do what you can and it will get easier evryweek and soon you will catch up on the things you have missed
There is no such word as failure here- always post what you have done no matter how little it all counts.
the support and encouragement on this thread is fantastic - THE BEST! - feel free to ask questions(most of us dont bite!) and we will all try to give suggestions - not always sane ones!!!
Welcome to the totally bonkers mad house!!!
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

Dusty - have a good night at the panto. Hope everything gets sorted quickly for your Nan.

Just going to put the boys to bed. Had a pottery sort of day putting things back where they belong and planning the veg plot for spring.

First batch of vouchers in the post... I'm afraid I've now run out of stamps (I've scrounged some from one of my team as well!), so the rest will have to wait until tomorrow... I've speeded the process up by not putting notes in with them, so apologies - I do love you all dearly, but need to get some work done today!

Plenty more if anyone still needs them...
:A :A I won't take it personally...:A let me know your address greenbee, I will get some stamps sent out to you...
