WOW, someone else who isn't automatically going digital! I believe I have until 2012 to make up my mind, but because I can watch online, with bbc iplayer, I think I will still have to buy a license....even if I never use bbc i player!

no you don't..because you watch it AFTER it has been shown on the live stream you don't need a licence.. you only need a licence if you watch it as it is being shown on tv.. and you can't do that with iplayer anyway.. so it is fine.

You do need one if you have a tv card in your computer though

I'm sure I read somewhere about needing a license if you have a TV which can receive a signal?

Anyway bread is still cooking, it'll be milk and bread for supper at this rate. I've just tried to relight the fire which seems to be fine so far. Soup for the children for tea, told DS he can have meatballs and mash tomorrow for lunch.

Trying to decide whether to make some batches of spag bol etc now so I don't need to tomorrow. I'm off babysitting in the evening but not till 8pm.
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

The problem is that bbc iplayer are starting to kinda livestream some programmes, which means you can't prove if you are watching them live or not, so then they will start forcing you to have a license, just because you have online access

You dont make an appt as such. I think if you can go in early mid week, you should be fine. Download the kitchen planner and work out what fits into your kitchen. Then you need to make a list and make sure you include everything, like handles, catches etc. Here is the linky

Thanks Skintscotslass i'll have a nosey at that link when kiddies in bed.:A
I was thinking because i've got 4 plans now and 3 were people coming out and meassuring, i could go off them plans what i need or just bring the plan with me.

WM on, TD on and dinner nearly ready, kitchen now looking alot better so think i may do a bit of baking tonight. Right back later.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

If you have anything which is able to receive a tv signal you have to have a licence, not just a tv.. computers, laptops etc with a tv card are included.

We don't have an aerial or a tv card or anything and the games consoles are strung up to monitors so cannot recieve a signal.

actually they can tell what time you start watching them and at the moment they don't upload them until after they have finished being shown on tv.. and if you download them to your computer they know you haven't watched them live.

I've not had a tv since I moved out of home and have never had any issue.

What on earth were you doing up at that time of the morning  There are still plenty left, so let me have your address...

Ha ha, can't get back into the swing of early nights and early mornings (was out every night on hols until 2-3am, dirty stopouts!!! :D ) Was 4.30am when I went to bed in the end, got up at 10am and wondering why I'm tired... I'm usually exhausted by 10pm so couldn't believe it when I looked up and it was 4.30am - nearly fell off my chair... definitly going to bed early tonight though - miss half the day otherwise and it's dark early as it is...

Have PM'd my address to you - and I can make good on the offer from hubby if you want... :rotfl: (only kidding... ;) )

Morning all, we managed to get a b&q quote the other day for the kitchen and it was £3500.00, bit shocked as that was with 50% sale and all the independent companies we tried were coming in the same price. So we were hoping that it would have been around the £2000 mark, think i'll try homebase and see if there any lower and then go back to b&q.:rotfl:

I'm sure Greenbee won't mind me saying (if she hasn't done it herself already), but she has some vouchers for 20% off at the moment for B&Q - that will be on top of the 50% so reducing by another £700! might help! ;)
