Feel like I have achieved a lot today.

Started with the coursework in the wardrobe. A pile for keeping, shredding and rubbish. When it came to my counselling work I started reading it. Then remembered that my dad died while doing this course. I have wrote in my log. Travelling to Liverpool. So that brought memories back. Anyway the result is 2 bags gone to charity shop. One bag of rubbish. Course work Ive kept is now on bookcase in spare room.
Towels and sheets also sorted. Bed changed and room polished and hoovered.

Xmas stuff in spare room now in a box and spare room tidied.

There won't be a weekend list this weekend because I want you all to spend time with your children and loved ones before the routine of normality hits us again.. If you are really desperate you can play catch up!

    .

Tell me about it. My day has plummeted from there on in, and right now, I could pull a duvet over my head and forget the world exists. DH won't be home for another hour or so, the kids are giving me grief (why do they ALWAYS do it when you feel low) I have dinner to cook, just had to spend money we don't have (well do, but would be better off paying the C/C off) on two new airers that probably won't last longer than six months. The dog has ants in her pants and is barking at random things.

The thing is, they PROMISED me, when I left hospital, I would have good support (I was very ill) and it just hasn't happened. Not from anyone, and I am really struggling to hold it all together at the moment :(
DH is good, but works a lot of hours, and so can't be here. Sometimes just having that someone to talk to helps a lot to put things back into perspective. Unfortunately the only people available during the day are my parents, and they really don't help (unless my intention was to feel worse about myself, anyway :rotfl: )

On the plus side, dinner is half cooked......just pastry to make, and veg to prep and it's all good. Bedroom is half sorted. I'll continue with that tomorrow. The rest of the house is tidy. Not spotless.....never spotless for more than five minutes here LOL, but it's company ready.
Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

Not sure it'll work - it says not suitable for freezing

This is why I'm not sure if it'll work. Some things on freezing I've read that if you sandwich them between the ok things (eg spreading both sides of bread with peanut butter then putting jam in the middle of them) then they work out well, so this is my experiment.

What I'll do is take that one out to defrost tomorrow and eat that for lunch then if all is well. If it's horrible, I won't make it again, and I also have other stuff I can eat if it's really that bad. I think the reason it's not suitable is the egg content, as sometimes eggwhite can go rubbery if frozen, so we'll have to wait and see.

I was inspired by the down to earth blog I posted earlier and a link from there to frugal food uk, so thought I'd try it out as I now have time. OH has just got home and thinks it's a great idea as he can't remember why we needed 2 loaves of brown. If there were more room in the freezer I'd make more.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Okey dokey.

I shall make it my goal to just complete the basics then.
One washload a day. Put away as soon as it's dry.
Cooking, and kitchen cleaned up afterwards.
    Quick sweep and dust.
    Bleach the toilet overnight.

Massive hugs to you Hawthorn - sorry I can't be more useful than that.
Sorting out - Sounds like you've got your hands full. I ditto what pigpen said, if it's not collected by the end of January then tough - it goes! Do you get charity bags through the door? If so, make sure you fill every one and let someone pick it up! Do it a bag at a time an it will get sorted!!

I've just had a bath and then promptly cried after it - i'm laughing at myself now! Everytime I do something else new I get all emotional. It's totally barking mad! Anyway, i've sniffed away and feeling better now:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . Lady Liberty - expect a few tears after your op if you're anything like me - it happens about every three days and usually when i'm shattered!

Skintscottlass and tooti - thanks for the nice words about my cc being paid off. Sometimes you feel it's relentless so it's nice when someone notices. Yes, i'm paying every spare penny off which is going to get difficult because i'm not allowed to work till March. I'm using the payment a day thread and even if it's just 50p i'm putting it to the credit card. No money is safe in this house!!! I've put my birthday and Christmas money towards it too but once we're straight i'll take that money from DH's wages and treat myself big time!!! Only a few months left - my aim is to pay it off before I start work again and then any money we earn is for mortgage, direct debits or US!!!!! :T xx
