And things go wrong no matter what I do.

I'm back from work, have had some soup and caught up on the thread. I'm going to read for a bit before getting back to flying, as I'm shattered after work today (I did do some when I wasn't stuffing envelopes for you lot, honestly :rotfl: )

Just have to find my list... which will be miles back because you've been so busy all day!

Dusty have a lovely evening, we haven't been able to go this year as all the available ones DP was working :( hope your Nan is ok, as you said sometimes things are for the best even if not what we would have hoped for.
Rach sounds like you've had a lovely time! Good luck with tomorrow onwards too.
greenbee if you need SAEs sending don't hesitate to ask and I am in no immediate hurry as will be after the boys go back to school before I even consider starting.
Mudbath I have seen a list on one of the forums about what is necessary to remove paying for TV licence, you can keep the TV but aerials need to be removed, Sky cables etc, radios are included I think too, I'll have a look in a mo for the links
edited to add http://www.jifvik.org/tv/ that's got some info on, I was told you needed it for Iplayer but might be incorrect info I was given. Don't think we could part with ours....more for DP than the rest of us, oh and great news with the pain relief!
toots it was great :D they were so nice, I just hope that it all works out, then I get to do the follow up visit :D hearing about their old dog they sadly lost, did have to sort the basic questionairre out but the rest is more of a chat, I think that way you can understand people better. They'll be great owners whichever dog they choose I am sure. I always try to think when considering someone for rehoming, would I trust them with my dog and would he be happy there, I could say yes, definately!

Just relaxing a bit, my left leg in particular is going nuts, going to have to ask to be referred back to neuros, see if there is something can be done, it was all put on hold when they found my liver lumps but it's driving me mad now. I might have to do a few hundred miles trip in the next few days, then again at some point. My Dad was visiting friends yesterday with his GF and was attacked by their dog. Bitten his face then his arm which sounds quite bad as he has to go back to hospital tomorrow where his GF lives, when he pushed it away which is making it a problem for him to drive. He was worried about DS birthday, told him not to worry. If he needs to come back home I said I will go pick him up, hasn't text back so pressuming is ok.

DPs gone to work, before work he found a lump of something (it's hard but we don't know if it's tooth) inside his gum where he's been getting loads of pain, he's sat and split his gum to get it out as he could feel it, yak!!!! So wondering if that is why he's been in pain since he had the tooth removed, will see how he goes before calling dentist back.

HP are totally useless, the technical person on the online stated was a HD fault, gave me a number to call, they said it's software and not a warranty thing so sending software out but I will need to buy a CD drive to install it, like knickers it's the software it's rattling like crazy! I am considering allowing it to arrive, phoning them and saying it still doesn't work without even trying it and getting them to collect it/sort repair centre to take it to. It's 3 months old !!!!!! and they were trying to get me to take the harddrive out and replace it to cost to me!

Kids are getting on my nerves, DS2s twisting in a little cry and DS1s screeching is getting higher and higher pitched, oh well, I think we should be having earlier bed times ready for back to school anyway :D
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

I'm back from my walk and am doing nothing for a few hours! It wasn't so much the walk that was hard but all the noise - cars, people etc! I guess being at home for three weeks and only going out over Christmas a couple of times when it was quiet has made me forget how busy this world is!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just did similar - *mini rant alert* we were out in the car shopping, hubby waited in car while we went in shop, couldn't open door properly coz stuck on the kerb, he rolled it forward while I was half in the car, door was getting more jammed, I shouted (and may have swore? ), he was on the phone to a friend (which I didn't know coz I was hanging out of the car) so got the hump coz aparently friend would now think I was a loud mouthed washerwoman coz I shouted and swore, so I got the hump coz he didn't care that I was hopping down the slope while he rolled forward and the door was nearly damaged jamming on the path, but he is ALWAYS right, so I stormed off into tesco telling DS to tell his dad that I would walk home (30 mins away) then DS didn't tell his dad because he didn't think I meant it, so they sat there for about 40 mins waiting for me to come out, by which time I was home, and then when he called, it was my fault coz they sat there, even though I said, so we're not talking now... which is nice! :D*end of not-so-mini rant alert*
Anyway, reason behind the rant, while I was walking home, with a 6 pint of milk cutting into each hand wondering why on earth I had cut my own nose of to spite my face, getting wet coz it was drizzling, cold coz I didn't think I would need my gloves and scarf, and out of breath coz my breathing is playing up, I realised how busy the world is too... :rotfl: people were bibbing each other up, loads of cars on the road and the noise was awful... I know exactly how you feel Mudbath...

Had a fairly productive day today- sorted two bin bags of stuff for the charity shop, cleaned out my wardrobe, the four under bed drawers and the 6 dvd drawers under the television. Went through the tapeable videos to see what was on each of them and actually put stickers on saying blank where appropriate. Only taking small steps at the moment - the lounge is still an absolute disgrace - hopefully tackle that after the tree comes down tomorrow. Although its mainly been drawers I've sorted out so nobody else can see them, psychologically am well chuffed with myself. Ooooh, nearly forgot, also cleaned the oven - including the glass door - really need a medal for that one, it had caked on grease from, well, I hardly dare contemplate!
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

lil_me fingers crossed for your first succesful re-homing then! Hugs for your Dad - hope the bites arent too deep and hugs for Dp - that sounds like Rambo sewing up his wounds - shudder to think about it - I am a woos!!!! Seriously I hope it releaves the pain and doesnt get infected. NO WAY should you be paying if its not working after 3 months - they seem to think us women (sorry OJ) dont know about anything technical and can fob us off with any old crap!
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

dusty - hugs to your nan, you and your mum. I'll be thinking of you all. I hope you all enjoy the panto tonight.

I've now forgotten who it was that was asking about how long it took to do the list - well, it all depends!;) I rarely have time to do more than an hour, if I'm working. However, in that time, if the room is already decluttered, then I can easily do Level 3 - the bathroom for example, a small room anyway, only takes me 30 minutes, because I never let anyone leave anything much in there unless it is used every day.
I have however been flying for more than two years now! It gets easier all the time. When I first started, some rooms were so cluttered, that I used to do '15 minute challenges', just clearing the junk. Then another 15 minutes washing bedlinen, vaccuuming any clear floor space etc. It all adds up. My top tip would be to have a clear idea of what every room is for, and only keep in it the things that fit that purpose, in the right type of storage. That may sound very simple, but it took me the best part of 18 months to realise that, and I'm still working on achieving it!

I have been busy today, and I'm really happy with what I've achieved - all the Christmas stuff has been put away, mostly done by DS1, DS2 and OH, and the livingroom cleaned. I've also cleared out most of the fridge of the odd bits and pieces that were left over, and cleaned the bathroom, as well as washing the boys' bedlinen and all the towels.

Then, this afternoon, OH and I went to look at carpets and furniture, have agreed on a carpet and the shop to buy it from, and bought a bedside chest of drawers as well! This may not sound very much, but it takes us ages to do all the initial research, and then decide what to get! We have also found several TV units that will be good in the livingroom, but will wait until after the carpet is fitted before we buy it.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
