    Hi Jill, welcome back.

Sounds like you made the right decision giving up work with the little ones so young. :T :T :T

Hope we see you back flying too - you'll be amazed how many are there now

    Kaz xx

They moved you - that was quick

Massive hugs flower and kazm xx

Thanks for the comments on tv license. We need to make a decision about what to do because analogue is turned off in Feb and our set top box broke a while ago. We need to go tv less or buy a new box....we've never had sky so that's not a problem.

Lil_me - hope your dad and your OH are ok. Both sounds nasty!!!

Think I might actually have an early night as i'm shattered and my sister flies home tomorrow so we won't see her till the summer. It'll be an emotional day as my DS always gets distraught when his cousin leaves. Bless him.

    Hugs to all xx
  • Well, after posting on Monday saying how I needed to de-clutter before I could even start cleaning, I haven't done much this week. I could blame pigpen and say that she scared me off as soon as she mentioned cleaning manky skirting boards - I can't remember the last time I cleaned skirting boards (probably before I put the last house I had on the market!).

But it's not all my fault, honest! I had a great plan of action for the week and then ended up visiting friends on Tuesday then came down with some horrible tummy bug over New Year so have been laid up for a couple of days. Starting to get back to normal and trying to catch up on washing, changing beds, etc. Not much de-cluttering done yet though.

I have to confess that the only other flylady thing I've done this week is buy a bottle of Stardrops. It was the only thing on pigpen's list of things needed to start tackling my clutter and mess that I didn't have. Now I just need to work out all the different things I can use it for.

    I'll try better next week!

ETA still no sign of Valli - maybe she has found a man!

She's on line, but given that she's been AWOL for a couple of days (dirty stop out, just like Flower on NYE ;) ) it'll be taking her a while to catch up!

Kaz - ((((((hugs)))))). If I was passing I'd drop in and see you... but my mean boss made me come back last weekend. Unfortunately there are some people who make the effort, and some who don't. My friends all appear to be pleased to see me, but it's always me who has to get in touch, make the arrangements, do the travelling etc., and after a while it gets to be hard work.

Flower - (((((hugs))))) for you too. Hope you sort things out... I'll think I'll pass on the offer if that's OK, you lot are putting me off men :rotfl: :rotfl:

If you've pm'd me, you're on the list, but I'm not sending messages back or my box will get full. And it's very kind of you to offer postage, but don't worry about it - this thread seems to be working on a 'pay it forward' basis at the moment, and as the vouchers haven't cost me anything (well, except for the effort of picking them up from reception!) this is my contribution. Most of the envelopes have several vouchers in them, so if you don't need them, pass them on...

I forgot to pick up another batch when I left, but I'm sure there will be plenty left when I go back, so if anyone needs one, drop me a note, just in case.

I'm just trying to think of something constructive to do before going to bed... although I have managed to kill half an hour, so its not quite so pathetic to go now!

    Hi all
Some of you (most notably from the flylady thread) will remember me from a year or two back.
We had our 3rd baby, a h3llish pregnancy and then the baby born when the other 2 were only just 4 and 2. Meanwhile I've also been working 3 days a week, my husband has his own business, works crazy hours and is away a lot, and we have no family support at all. It has been totally crazy and I have not been able to focus on money saving at all. We've dipped into our savings a bit , and fairly unneccesarily (annoyingly), but we survived :T :T

Anyway, I before Christmas I decided to give up work :j :j :j

We decided its just all too crazy and something had to give. Hubby is going to try and pay himself a bit more (he is salaried and the rest goes into the business) and we are extending the term of our mortgage.

But it does mean we will have to watch the pennies a bit more, but then I should have more time to meal plan, and cook and generally be on here :D

So anyway I wanted to say I am back, I have missed you all, and I am looking forward to lots of OS tips again!

    Hi Jill,

Welcome back! :) I noticed you hadn't been around since October. I hope you're enjoying your life as a SAHM. I've added your post into the flylady thread where I'm sure the regulars will be delighted to see you posting again.

Night greenbee - off you go!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for DD - she's had a good day and we had a nice meal although the kids came back here afterwards and trashed the place but hey!

Just waiting for the TD to finish so DH can finish making the bed and then I'll probably go and get in it.

Ditto! My friends are happy for a get together if I arrange it all, but there are only really 2 who keep in touch on a (fairly) regular basis without me having to do all the work. They're the 2 that have kept me going over the last year (and the 2 who bothered to come out for my birthday!)

There won't be a weekend list this weekend because I want you all to spend time with your children and loved ones before the routine of normality hits us again.. If you are really desperate you can play catch up!

Thanks Pigpen, very thoughtful... I have my catch up stuff planned for the weekend, but we hope to all go out for the day on Sunday, just a drive or something to get us out of the house... we'll see if it actually happens...
