FireAngel, what's that over there, on the table? Should it be on there? Should it be in the bin or where it belongs? Go and move it.......now, you have made progress. Yes that's how small you need to start, doing one more thing than you would have done before. In fact buying that bottle of Stardrops, that is progress. You'll get there, we all do eventually.

Valli 'coooeeee' :rotfl: that was some party for you to still be AWOL!

Mudbath, big hugs for your DS, bless him, it can't be easy saying goodbye a lot but I bet the time they visit again comes around sooner than he thinks. Do they write to each other to keep in touch? To be honest the boxes aren't expensive, I paid under £20 for one for the caravan, it's the TV licence I would gladly save on.

JILL!!!!!!! How the heck are you?!! Oh wow, full time Mum, fabulous! Good luck with it all :) How old is little DD now? She must be over a year old, I remember the emails to say she'd been born, seems like yesterday.

greenbee, go to bed!! Seriously if I could I would be there now too, just 2 little monsters need to be asleep first (and woof will want a wee)

Well DS2 was going to be sent to bed, he's still really snuffly with this gastly cold but has been a little trooper gathering all the cups and glasses they have all left about (I always put mine in the kitchen, just noone else seems to!) I've also had some lovely cuddles. I can't actually get up at the mo so have warned DP he might need to come back at some point. Allowing DS2 to stay up to let the dog out for me, he won't go to sleep yet anyway, then DP will let him out when he gets in, I'll just need to try to get upstairs........if not DP will be called to help :o actually don't know what he could do, I can't stand on it with help or without and too heavy to be carried...hate it when this happens. Stupid legs gone off completely, spasms/shooting pains as soon as I stand up, or move it, grrrr, annoying. Santa on the advent calendar I am sure is laughing at me to say haha can't take me down yet. Hoping meds help, took all sorts of pain relief (DS2 got the box for me) problem is I don't know what's causing it, supposedly nerve damage they said years ago, I think sciatica possibly now, so can't 'fix it', just have to wait for it to calm down but it's been much worse in the last 2 weeks than before. Doctors open tomorrow am I think so might call them to arrange appointment.
One day I might be more organised...........

My fridge smells... I found the culprit... some turkey my mum gave me when I came back last weekend and I hadn't eaten. I've thrown it out (it only started smelling this morning, but I didn't have time to locate the problem then), but it still smells!

Tell me about it. My day has plummeted from there on in, and right now, I could pull a duvet over my head and forget the world exists. DH won't be home for another hour or so, the kids are giving me grief (why do they ALWAYS do it when you feel low) I have dinner to cook, just had to spend money we don't have (well do, but would be better off paying the C/C off) on two new airers that probably won't last longer than six months. The dog has ants in her pants and is barking at random things.

The thing is, they PROMISED me, when I left hospital, I would have good support (I was very ill) and it just hasn't happened. Not from anyone, and I am really struggling to hold it all together at the moment :(
DH is good, but works a lot of hours, and so can't be here. Sometimes just having that someone to talk to helps a lot to put things back into perspective. Unfortunately the only people available during the day are my parents, and they really don't help (unless my intention was to feel worse about myself, anyway :rotfl: )

Hugs Honey, nothing worse than feeling down and having no-one to turn to. I would definitly complain (and do it in writing, the NHS seems to work better when it's in writing as they have to explain it then and what they did about it) and say that you NEED this help, and when she goes to go after only 30 mins put your foot down and say you're supposed to have an hour.
I know, easier said than done, but really, you need this support, you should get this support and you also deserve it... I know they are pushed, but so are you...
Also, please pop on here when you need a chat - there is always someone about, and it has saved me from insanity on many occasions - HHC's are so much better with someone to do them with you, and singing along to the vacuum always cheers me up (and annoys the neighbours, another reason to be happy! :rotfl: )

  • what does ETA mean?

By the way, when I joined I used my real name by mistake instead of a username, so will be changing it very soon , just deciding on what the new name will be!!

ETA = Edited to add... (eta, sorry, sexy beat me to it... :D )

I did the same, and the forum were lovely enough to change it for me - I think they only do it for people like us or if you put your email address down or suchlike, but I didn't want everyone knowing my real name (don't mind everyone on here, but you never know do you! :D )

  • Hi toottifrootti.

Thanks for the Stardrops link. I'll need to look out my old spray bottles and dilute some down - that can be my first test on the kitchen tomorrow!

    PS I'm in Dalgety Bay.

Thanks Julie... I happen to have some 'cleaning' lemons at the moment (basics ones - I use organic unwaxed ones for my g & ts!). I'm just making my second hot water bottle, have moved the dehumidifier to the utility room and will then go to bed.

My brother has apparently got me some tile restorer from his friend (who supplied the tiles), so hopefully I'll be able to fix the problem.

And toots... yes, it DOES all need to be done for Sunday. Plus I need to do some cooking, pay some bills and write my thank you letters!

    Thanks Flower.

Darling hubs is currently washing up the dinner pots, love him :) He now has two rest days, so tonight, we are snuggling on the sofa and watching a film with a glass of wine (extravagant, huh? LOL)
Tomorrow night, we are having homemade chinese, and a games night, all being well. Not much to do tomorrow - just a few dailys, and maybe make some more bread.
Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

She's on line, but given that she's been AWOL for a couple of days (dirty stop out, just like Flower on NYE ;) ) it'll be taking her a while to catch up!
    Spot on - 30 pages:eek:
Had a good time - err too good. Came home then out straight away to mum's for a NYD get together. Home at midnight last night then at work today. Came home, cleaned bathroom (level 3)

I am proud of myself - the independant example I set to my kids. I painted DS's room all by myself too. I am gardening seriously and getting on well with that. I have a water butt even though I am not on a meter. I have reduced, reused and recycled and the bin I put out for emptying this morning was only half full, if that and it was last emptied on Christmas Eve morning.
I love the thread (and the way you tease me about my pegs). The support, encouragement, kindness is brilliant - knock on my door anytime Pigpen (or any of you)
    I wish you all a fabulous 2009
I am also proud of Polkadot...you had the wings - the Flyladies just showed you how to stretch them and take off...
and what a good job you did there flyladies...

I think someone else lives in the house and I just don't see them... the same person who uses all the petrol in the car, never mows the lawn... they obviously visit you too, and have probably used julie's washing up liquid...
Funnily enough someone has been found living in someone's attic...for about a week!
