greenbee thank you, have dropped you a PM
Dusty you've got me thinking with the vouchers, I think I have about £70 in Boots, £100+ in Nectar points (saving them for a legoland trip) some Tesco stamps (about £25 worth I lost the card and just found it today) and some other vouchers somewhere inc M&S and WHSmiths, don't know where any of them ones are.....

You've all just made me wonder if DS1 also goes back the 5th, I am sure he does, he is sure it's the day after his birthday (which is Sunday) but I don't have his holidays list, just DS2s.....bother, will text another Mam I have a number for (worst thing with him being at a school that isn't local)

Argh, thought I'd only caught my left thumb and right arm lightly on the oven, no, ow ow ow ow ow I just got them warm and they really hurt :o sorry, I'm being a wuss but I hate burns :o

This evening I think some chill time is required, bath maybe as the paresthesia in my legs and my back is going crackers, burns will just have to stay out of the bath. Tomorrow is tree/decorations down time!
One day I might be more organised...........

Lil-me - have you tried the school's website? Most schools have websites with term dates on.

Just been reading the thread about spending vouchers/points in case companies go bust:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1382859&page=3

I have a few quid on an Argos card/ditto WHSmith - less than £10 each

About 45p of points on a WHSmith clubcard
About £5 at most in Boots points

Not much but I will spend them all PDQ just to be on the safe side.

it all looks like a lot of scaremongering.. most companies know they are going to be going into receivership months before they do.. they don't usually tell the staff though..

Argos has been supposedly struggling for a couple of years
WHSmith from what I heard were changing their market
Boots are not, YET, in any trouble afaic.. though if I go and spend any more of my points they might be lol.. I had £170 before christmas and got almost all the family presents just on those and the 3-4-2 offers.. with freebies!

I think if they do start the administration process it will be rather like woolies and they'll have so many months warning and time to shift stock there'll be plenty of time to use them.

The rumour about WH Smith is interesting. They have just taken on running post offices from their shops. With the talks of privatising the Post Office, I wonder where they'll end up?

    But that's totally off topic...

My top sheets is dry... and Tiddles duvet cover.

Just need my bottom sheet to dry then I can haul my sorry @r$e up the stairs and remake the bed.

Oh.. I bought myself one of the lumi-light things so hopefully I'll be able to get out of bed at a reasonable time once the children are back at school. I can but hope!

Paint research is infernally boring so we have looked at radiators and kitchen units as well.. I think I may have spent about £700 lol.

I need to lay out the cash for the unit and send the insurance co. the receipts.. after copying them of course.. ;) .. and get a few quotes for worktop.. and blinds.. poop.. I forgot about the blinds..

Thank you and thank you! Your list had lots of little things on it that I tend to forget :o and I thought it might help me! I'm sure it can't really be me that makes all this mess and has soooooo much stuff :o !!

have PM'd you re gas and electric - don't rush to reply as I know your busy (I've seen the list ;) )

I think someone else lives in the house and I just don't see them... the same person who uses all the petrol in the car, never mows the lawn... they obviously visit you too, and have probably used julie's washing up liquid...

I've replied re. the gas & electric... I may be busy, but distractions are welcome

If anyone else wants them, there are still B&Q discount vouchers left... I've had 7 requests so far, so plenty more available (you may get more than one each, in which case, pass them on). One of my colleagues used one last week to get 20% off a new kitchen, which was already reduced by 50% in the sale :T

I've now eaten (soup)... suppose I should make a sandwich for tomorrow and try to get myself organised for an early night and an attempt at an early morning!
