It doesn't matter how much I rearrange the bookshelves... there is no way I can fit the ones from the bookshelf I've got rid of into the remaining ones... possibly because they were already fairly full
I hate getting rid of books, but I'm going to have to be brutal and get rid of some of the junk and send some of the really old stuff back to my parents.0 -

Nearly every cloth I own is now in the WM at 90 degrees with soda crystals and vinegar (so I can clean the WM at the same time as the cloths...).
Just going to do a bit more work on the bookshelves, then I really should go to bed!0 -
:rolleyes:Friday fun! - childrens rooms
We need these looking nice for when the children go back to school next week so I think it is only fair they help clear up!
Level One
Clear the floors in the childrens room.. throw out any broken toys and find some that are no longer needed that can be sent to charity shop or given away.
Level Two
Change the childrens bedding/wash curtains
Vacuum mattress (after turning & wiping any waterproof sheets) and floors
Wash window
Level Three
Sort through a clothing cupboard.. anything outgrown?
Put any discs back in cases and books back on shelves etc
Dust.. lightshades, curtain poles, games consoles/PC's etc
Extras- Wipe any sticky handprints and dirty marks off walls and doors
- Wipe down the paintwork & radiators
- Do meal plan for the next few weeks.
- Finish planning budget, did it earlier and it cannot be right that we have £500 left over each month! (I haven't seen it!)
- Make proper list of daily tasks to follow.
- Take decorations down.

Greenbee, please could I have a B&Q voucher if you have one left? I'll pm you my address just in case. We need to get some wood for shelving and stuff soon.
Bedtime soon I think.0 -
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I have no ironing :j I did it today while watching Buffy (I'm up to the penultimate tape of season 4) and while DD put stuff away in her room. I was going to take her out tomorrow but I've changed my mind, I think we'll tackle her bedroom (especially the clothing situation...she has more clothes than me and thats excluding her uniforms!I'm sure some of it should be in storage instead of her wardrobe  )
Got a bargain in Asda yesterday - I decided to buy myself a DSlite game, price on the shelf £21+, went through the till at £12Then the fella who served me came and found me instore doing the rest of my shopping to give me something that had fallen out of the box when he put the game in it
I promised myself I would start going to bed at 10pm school nights and 11pm non-school nights (as I've been averaging a 2am bedtime and thats not good).. guess I should shift myself :rotfl::rotfl:
Will try to get on earlier tomorrow :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Greenbee - I'm so like you with books. I have a multitude of bookshelves here and there and everywhere (even have one bookcase in the utility area and a row of books in the bathroom!). I just can't bring myself to pruning them. Even though I've not looked at half of them for many, many months...if not years...
Well, I watched the MM and can't believe how different it was to the Joan H version. I have, just this minute ordered the original book from Amazon to see what Agatha really wrote!
How was the JC anyone? But PLEASE don't tell me the plot! I was thinking about how it must be about 10 years since the original series when Alan Davies was quite young. Has he morphed back to himself then or has he grown up gracefully in the Christmas Special? My sister and I always fancied him - my sis being really lucky to actually drink in the same bars as him in London so got to see him regularly (though she was never introduced)/I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
