Next bag of flour I get I'll be popping it in the fridge ice box and flicking the switch over until it's built up some ice in there (my icebox is the sort that ou can put frozen goods into it and the next day they've thawed out)

Had them couple of years ago. Tracked them down to the flour, tough little sods. Absolute nightmare getting rid of them, just when you thought you had the last one another would appear in a draw or something! :eek:0

Forget the armageddon stuff that people have been having a laugh and joke about, even though that wasn't my original thread, although we have had a bit of a giggle about it.
Look at today's news, mass walk outs throughout the UK (Thur 30th Jan 2008).
The country is going down the pan, I think some of us need to take our heads out of the sand and wake up.
I didn't buy any extra food in, it was just a question, but now I am going to start buying extra stuff in. Not many can say their job is going to be 100% safe.
Yep, I know people say keep your extra money in your pocket but with the way food prices are rising you are not going to get as much for your money.
For example bread flour went up the other week from 54p to 75p, not a lot for some but it is a lot extra when it all adds up.0 -
sb44,
While you are, of course, absolutely right, please don't try and get this thread back on track. Its the funniest thing I've read for years. Whenever I'm down I can think of dopester's dog, window licking and Pastures going all Ray Mears on us in the woods. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Can't be sitting in the cold with no lecky and no Whiskey that would be just not civilised.
If we do lose power due to all this, then I can sit at home nice and warm with my 2 log fires and think about everyone else less fortunate0
