Well the way things are going now I think more people may be thinking about stocking up just to have extra food in case the sh*t hits fan!
'And, as in the 1980s, store extra food. Balls voiced the growing fear of social unrest, which is more probable the longer the crisis continues.
I am not suggesting boarding up your front windows, just buying a little more in case of shortages. It may seem ridiculously early to hoard, but it could very quickly become too late. '

I'm still not sure what it will be?
Well, here we are a year later. My internet still appears to be working and I've just checked out the window and... yes, I can confirm that people still be appearing to be going about their business with very minimal fighting for survival going on.
Ahh well. Presumably all this has just been delayed because of QE and low interest rates though?0 -

Not a good day to mention that'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
what a stupid thread - is this one of white horses?0

What is a shame is those people who can't afford to stock up on food without putting yet more debt onto their credit cards.
Ouch.

Just you wait!!!!!!
When we get 4 million unemployed, interest rates at 15%, Dow at 2500, millions of reposessions, 70% falls in house prices, a gilt strike, the Tories shutting down public services, baked bean shortages, and plague and pestilence.......
And all by Xmas 2009, ummmm no, by Xmas 2010..... (or maybe Xmas 2011, or 2012)
It'll be Bearmageddon!!!!!“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
