  • By the sound of many of these posts it seems nuclear armageddon is around the corner.

Anyway, I've recently joined CostCo so i could buy in bulk - bit hypocritical to my opening gambit but it's cheaper (in many cases). I just need a storage facility now to keep it all in!

Thanks, !!!!!!?, I've bookmarked the bookmark site to look at later;)

Really, thanks. It looks like a useful link, I do have far too many sites bookmarked on my PC and can never find what I am looking for.

Check these out. Aldi, wind up torches.
I plan to get one myself today, not because of "things", but because I have never in my life managed to own a torch that actually works when I need it to. Either the batteries are absent or they've died

    http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/2867_8678.htm

    Only £4.18

If you've already got a sturdy backpack, kelly kettle and compass, you can use this as an experiment for moving about undetected.... in case you need to in the future. I'm sure you can find an Aldi to walk to over the next 2-3 days, avoiding main roads, travelling mainly at night etc....

    Where's your sense of adventure?
