  • Two DZ models brand new in boxes and unopened last night still in Bangor, Co Down.

I bought myself one last Tuesday and love it!!

My friend bought one for herself last night and was able to tell me that they still had another 2 in stock if that helps anyone.

Warrington PC World have an E-510 with 14-42mm lens for £179, and an E-410 SE (with older 17.5-42mm lens) for £149.

Managed to get one from Warrington PC World - they got the ex-display one from Currys next door for me and GA'd it across (I didn't need to ask for this specifically they suggested getting it from Currys next door and were very helpful). Although Currys said they had no stock initially, I then asked about the ex-display one on the shelf and they got me that one. So thanks very much to everyone who's helped - very glad I got this bargain :D
    Have a nice day. :)

I was in the same store last week, they wouldn't GA the display one from Curry's for me. But luckily they found a brand new one in Edge lane Currys.
  • Not being one to give up I tried a few more times today.
PC World has removed this camera from its website, but I figured it may still be on their internal systems. So I called into Cribbs Causeway (Bristol) and expressed an interest in the camera - a local stock check was performed, showing 8 at Currys in Broadmead. After a quick chat, they agreed to GA one, so long as I collected it today.....30 minutes later and I now have the camera and two lenses. A lot of legwork and several phonecalls, but well worth it.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of this, just to clarify does it have to be an olympus card? or will any XD card work?

I believe it is only Olympus XD cards that have the Panorama function on them. I am sure I read this on another thread. Hope this helps.

Hi, yes - Panarama function only on the Olympus XD card - 100% (in a earlier post of mine I think) ....

  • Just tried PC World Copdock Ipswich, Currys next door had 1 left(display model) however the really unhelpful manager at PC world was unwilling to transfer the camera even though Curry's were very happy for it to happen.
Thanks again for the really unhelpful manager at PCworld. However many thanks to the staff at Currys for their understanding and helpfulness. Maybe the manager at PCworld should go on the Currys customer relations course......
