No, it was £168.67. Do you think they have maybe given me the wrong box???

Check the Box - the double lens set has DZ at the end of the E410 bit ! printed on the box. In the lid will be the warentee cards for three items - the 2 lenses each have one, and one for the camera body. There are serial numbers on each item.

Inside the box there will be the spaces for the 2 lenses in the centre, packed at one end is the camera body and the other end are the cables/charger etc.

Just checked the box. There is no DZ on it. However, I paid the same price (£169) for 2 lenses.

Will phone them tomorrow and see what, if anything can be done.
  • Hmm thats quite strange actually - the DZ was priced at £169.97, as were all of the other E-410 kits at PC World! (I read over the man's shoulder when he had the computer screen up!)

Give them a ring, tell them you thought you purchased a twin lens kit and see what happens...it may be that you got an ex-display one and they forgot to put the extra lens in if you're lucky!

Even so, £169 for that with one lens is still cheap!

    Hi

Can someone help? I've been looking at this thread with interest and am thinking of trying to obtain one, but no matter how many times I read I am at a loss as to what I need to do? Could someone explain it to me in simple terms (blame a stinking bug I have at the mo!) as I can't seem to get the bit about two stores and GA's, do I need to this if a Currys or PC World has one in stock??? Do I just go in and ask id they have an Olympus e410?

    Many thanks!

There are a couple of ways of trying to get one, but note there are very few left in the country ....

Background, the E410DZ (2 lens kit), is currently on sale in Currys for £283, PC world were selling it for £167 over xmas/new year.

Price Match Approach, find a Currys that has them in stock, and a PCworld that still has one (even if it's exdisplay, or non-pristone), and then go to Currys and say you want a price match - they will need to confirm that one is availiable in their region and then they will match the price, and give you an additional 10% off (this is how I got mine!)

Stock transfer approach, find a PCworld that will transfer stock from a Currys branch (they are all the same DSG group), pay for the camera at the reduced price. You may find that PCworld will want you to pay for it in their store, then you collect it from the designated Currys, or they may physically move the stock for you to the PC world branch where you paid for it.

    Hope that helps.

Just got my hands on mine today. Looks great, but I only have one lens in the box. I though there would be two. Also, I only have adaptor, the UK one, but not the Euro one.

Is it worth calling up Curry's to chase this up, or were there two different offers for the same price?

    Cheers.

Did you buy this directly from Currys or did you get "GA" from a PC World store

there is a single lens kit for the same price in Currys which i think is what you may have purchased.

Or perhaps they just gave you the wrong one? check the recipt and see if it says E410DZ on it.
If they were busy then it's not inconceivable that they gave you the wrong item since they probably just read E410 on the box.

Checked the receipt and it is E410SE which I presume is the single lens. NO worries though as its a great camera

They are on ebay. One went for £250 today. More than PC world but less than Currys. HTH
