that is the lamest post officially ever on an internet forum.

you may find people type like that, to save time.

your first post has the word AND to begin a new paragraph, after a full stop.

    happy?

yes, history twice. it makes sense. i could've used 'past'. but you show yet again you are unable to read or understand.

I am definitely finding it difficult to understand you.

    And, just for you: http://editingpublishing.suite101.com/article.cfm/can_i_start_a_sentence_with_and_

Im glad im forcing you to use the internet to educate yourself, not just to view !!!!!!.

You still show you find it difficult to read and understand. Are you going to go around and change EVERYONE's posts so the sentence begins with a capital letter?

I did not say you CANNOT start a sentence with a conjunction. if you read that article thoroughly, it states:

The grammar guides still discourage placing a conjunction at the end of a sentence.

Starting a sentence with a conjunction is unprofessional.

As you 'attempted' to make out you are very professional, i bought your unprofessional grammar to light.

The reason you find it difficult to understand me, is because im educated to and above the national standard. Yet again you desire for people to put you down. Keep posting :D

I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist! I'm loving this thread. Wapow - I just know you're laughing whilst you type out your amusing (to me anyhow) responses (albeit without due care and attention ... lmao! ;) ). Keep posting!

That's the worry isn't it? That if you are the national standard and beyond, then there is something inherently wrong with our education system, particularly when you exhibit a lack of knowledge on such linguistic features as tautology and argue the toss over semantics. I clearly have a lot to work towards in my profession.

In response to the 'and' debate, the implicature in your post was that it was indeed incorrect to start a paragraph, or a sentence, with 'and'. It is only after reading the article that you decided to make clear your stance. It is clear who is being educated here.

As for the topic at hand, you appear to have drifted somewhat from your chosen position as 'good (television) samaritan'. Is that because all but one member questioned at least one of your 'well-researched' points?

Looking back through the thread, you don't appear to have too many people on your side. Perhaps this is because you are deliberately antagonistic when a point or a question is raised. If you took your childish, and frankly ignorant, attitude to somebody with actual knowledge and the research to back it up, I'm sure you'd be worse off. The beauty of internet forums, it seems.

Still, if you think it is justified to call fellow forum members, 'peadophiles' (sic), then that merely illustrates to me, and the many others here, what kind of person you are.

Genius comment adammccance, cmon wapaw...thrust, parry etc.
  • I've reread the thread again and am now thoroughly confused - is it really big news that things get cheaper over time? There are constant updates coming out that will push the older models down in price to clear them out - 2009's big screen events will be making the screens thinner, network connectivity and a move to LED backlighting.

As for OLEDs, the 40" screens previously shown could not be classed as product. I have it on good authority from several collegues that Samsung used a different display each day as they weren't confident the original would last throughout the trade show. The major cost in OLED screens are the evaporators and they scale to the power 3 (ie if you double the size of the screen the cost of the evaporator goes up by 8 times) and the yields still aren't great (Sony only produce 1000 11" panels /month) so scaling up to a gen 6 or 7 line won't be happening soon.

As for costs going up - it's up to every individual to make a decision about this.

He's the advisor for DSG. He told them to wait until February before buying any TVs.

    (This could run and run.)
