I don't think you will hear from him, He has probably sobered up and is very embarrassed at his drunken diatribe.;)

    :D More than likely.

eerm, did you read page 6? i replied to your query and replied to someone else? this is proof that some people just dont bother to read and make misplaced comments.

    Dipstick

are you STILL here hounding me and everyone else with your useless talk? why do you bother? do you just want to increase your post count tally? please, dont worry about the closure of this thread, its not in your power, never will be, and some people still want to read and make intelligent conversation.

im not bothered about what tv you bought or whether you listened. your money, your wishes at the end of the day.

    im here for the moneysavers.

you still show you dont have a grasp of what this thread was asking. here i type it again for the umpteenth time for the numptey....

i have asked for those people who were about to take the dive for a new tv in december, to hold out, if they can, a couple of months. (couple = two). so two months from december. which makes february.

    now then, i quote
How do you do all your comparisons and make your opinions when they are all based on you and your old anal ogue TV?

PLEASE Oh PLEASE, enlighten me on my comparisons that i have made which i state are based on my old analogue tv. i truly cannot be bothered to go through this thread and make note of my comparisons (if any?) nor do i have as much free time as you. so please (i ask nicely) go through this thread and quote each and every comparison ive made. hmmm quoting me, you'll like that.

this next bit....is really, REALLY IMPORTANT. so please take the time to read it a few times.

alot of my discussion on technology, is not opinion. this is where you confuse opinion and fact. a simple search engine search will yield results which can confirm what i have written. someone has already made a small search on the page before this. you can also take the time out to email a few company's if you need yet further clarification.

i have not asked anyone to "wait and wait for newer technology". even i know that you'll be waiting forever. the thread was -

to ask for those people who were about to take the dive for a new tv in december, to hold out, if they can, a couple of months. (couple = two). so two months from december. which makes february.

it was also for me to note my disappointment in the way in which people have reacted to the offers, which were supposed to be 'one time only! only xmas! you wont find this after xmas!' rubbish. gullibility is the word.

i use an old analogue tv. does that mean that, maybe as part of a JOB or a HOBBY (look up the meaning of the words if you dont already know) i can never come into contact with any other form of tv technology??

does jeremy clarkson own every single car on the market? NO! so what does he do? how does he make an opinion of cars? what is fact and what is opinion about the car he is talking about?

if you can answer those questions, and read this thread again (which i know you cannot do as you have proven time and time again with your posts)

it may dawn on you, that maybe, just maybe, i come into contact with different technology, electricals et al. and stating the fact that i have an analogue tv has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER in the matters discussed.

this is going to be my last long post i make to you. you heard of the saying 'like talking to a brick wall'?

talking to you does not do justice to that saying, nor the words idiot, docile, thick. its time to come up with some entirely new saying/new words for the likes of you. (likes of whom are dangerously high in number)

as you bought a new tv, im going to recommend a movie to you. you'll probably pick it up cheap now...... its called 'idiocracy'

self realisation is so hard to come to terms with. you probably wont understand the movie at all...yet feel as though you can totally relate to the people in the movie. wierd huh!

everytime i make a post for you and your three friends, that movie and the people of the movie come to mind! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

please watch it (there i go again being polite! :D )

And so you know i bought the 32 inch Sony from JL for £329 inc 5 year guarantee and had it delivered yesterday and it is superb , i mean really good

I bought the same TV from M&S for roughly the same price with 5 year warranty and installation.

It arrived today and it is excellent and I don't need anyone feeling for me.

The 20" LCD in the bedroom that it replaced fetched £140 on eBay, so a good deal all round for me.

What's the point in waiting if you are happy with the price on offer and it is what you want?

If you are buying anything in the technology market at the moment here ae some things I would do...

    >> Set yourself what you wanna spend
    >> Ask yourself what you want or need (as with tv's do you want freeview built in and do you need HD etc)
    >> Dont look to far into the future because there will always be new technology coming out which is usually overated and you can never stay fully up to date if your wanting to save money
    >> Check internet as well as the shops
    >> Check reviews on what youve chosen
    >> Use cashback sites where possible and any vouchers you can find
    >> And dont forget to purchase on credit card for protection even if you have the cash in your hand

If we all waited for the best price we'd never buy, if we waited for the best technology then youd never buy because the latest will always be out of reach. Remember some stores do price protection where if you ca buy the same product else where within a number of days theyll refund the difference and some even give you the difference back when they reduce within a number of days (although store cards are sometimes required).

Hope this helps people a little as this thread just confused me

Good set of hints and tips.
