  • have been thinking about half aprons made from old jeans and trimmed with some nice flowery fabric and using the legs of the jeans to make hot pads or demin rose broches - so on the lookout for a couple of car boot sales and hopefully pick up jeans for about £1 a pair :T and still on the lookout for a simple ragdoll pattern
 while i knit i think

These are a simple idea for a baby gift to jazz up a hamper of bath products or towels.

    Morning all

I sorted out my wool and crafting things yesterday :T then made a list of what I want to get done  ... luckily no-one got scarves etc at all this xmas, and I have never made them for anyone...so the list is something like this :o :-
    1. 10 scarves -on my 2nd one
    2. 5 hats -to go with the mens scarves
    3. 4 bags -to go with girls scarves -just need to sew up my 1st one
    4. 1 snood/hood
    5. 1 poncho like top
    6. some pretty socks -for my mum in the house
then I want to try and finish a huge x stitch hawk I started for hubby and a lady one for mum

Oh and using up some of my bead stash Im going to make hand bag charms to go on the bags -*and breath*

On top of this I was hopping to get xmas decorations made  ...so Im not sure Im going to get time to eat :rotfl:
My plan is to do 1 item for everyone first then start on everything else -so everyone has at least something-in case I run out of time :p
So I MUST keep focused...problem is I look at all the lovely links folks post and get distracted :p
right off to get something done ;)

I want to start making some of these beaded snowflake decorations, but I want to use thicker wire for them as my beads from my recycled necklaces have largish holes. I'm a complete novice on wiring beads, so can someone please tell me which wire would be thicker than the 28 gauge (.3mm) that the pattern suggests and perhaps even a supplier who would post to Spain.
    Thanks
