Last year I asked my parents to jot down some dates for me - memorable dates and information that get's lost over the years...i.e. my grandparents wedding date/place of birth/maiden names etc....just family details that I'd like to know.

I didn't realise just how much to heart they took this and mum being a keen scrapper has made the most amazing scrap book with pictures/scaled down copies of birth/death/marriage certificates and dates....along with a written account of their childhoods through to now. Details of first boy/girl friends, memories of their grandparents, their school days, their christmas/birthdays.......

It's amazing and a gift that will always be treasured. I now aim to start making one for each of my DD's that I can add to over the years.

Even if you're not into scrapping, maybe a written account of memories in a nice book would go down well with your families? A simple but fantastic present.

(fab way of learning some family secrets too - my great grandparents wedding was very rushed before the "bump" showed!!! Shocking!!)

Does anyone know of anywhere on-line that I can order cheap xmas fabric from? So far I came across this site - http://www.calicolaine.co.uk/Fabrics-Christmas-Fabrics-c1_448/Snowman-Fabric-p3071.html?osCsid=6e4caefc604a2fc5998954f016cbb218 where it is £5.99 for a metre but was wondering if anyone knew of a site that sold it cheaper?

loo rolls - these were loo rolls wrapped in gift paper with a verse attached:

I bought this little gift for you
    I thought it was unique
I bet you can;t gess what it is
    So trendy and so chic
You'll never get caught short again
Now that you have this chum
    He's charmin' and he's funny
And he'll help you wipe your *** !!!!

I wrapped mine in silver paper, stuck the verse on one side, ribbon stuck on top and I did eyes and lips as well. OH thought it was a hoot !!

    I used this verse ......

Money is scarce and times are hard,
So I'm giving you this, instead of a card.
Christmas cards are a bit of a farce,
But this will be handy, for wiping your .... nose!
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness :D

I have been having a huge sort out and have some goodies to give away... I have a large assortment of card making bits and some other craft goodies.
I also have 7 large cherry print muffin cases on offer, to make flannel cupcakes.

The first to PM their details to me can have all the bits.
