omg please don't suggest another thread - I really can't keep up with all the ones I've become addicted to already! Flannel cakes, nappy cakes, finished baskets, hamper photos, door hangers, crafting for crimbo 09, crafting for 09, homemade easter things etc etc!!! my little brain can't take anymore!!!! LOL!!

Having said that I'm about to go and have a look at the sock monkey thread cos now you've planted that seed...

Hi everyone. I know exactly what you mean about this site and the crafting threads being TOTALLY addictive. I seem to be eating , sleeping and dreaming all these wonderful ideas OH organised all my favourites into a craft section and it is sooooo long
Sock Monkeys - I love them.
    Charity Knitting --- cant stop
Manta Ray -- SOBLIVION -- It is still on the back boiler but I am going to do it !!!!
Cards all made for the local WI here on Monday when I am hoping to sell some to make some pennies to fund all the projects I want to do.

    - knitted Carrier bag--- Thanks for all kind comments.
The handles are made with leather thongs and the wooden beads threaded on them

I have only ever and probably will only ever !!! knit 2 of them. The first for me and the second for a dear friends. You have to knit string with the strips of carrier bag so that it has strength and doesnt pull out of shape when you carry something heavy. So that makes it harder work because of having to knit plastic and string at the same time
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Hello all,

I went to Hobbycraft today, I was short for time and only had five minutes in there before they closed but I managed to look around the Christmas clearance section and pick up a few bargains!

They have packs of Christmas cracker presents, with each one containing a mini pack of cards, a whistle, a pinball disc type game, crayons, sellotape, bath salts, a necklace and a yo-yo. They were £4.39 now £2.19.

They also have gorgeous red velvet drawstring bags and small tin buckets in red and green that have Christmas trees and stars cut of them at the top, they would be great for making sweetie baskets, as tea-light holders, lots of things really.

    To
greenpixey and everyone else who is interested in the hama beads as mentioned earlier in thread, they have them on sale at the moment and some white bead-boards for as little as 49p.

I also thought I'd let you all know that Boots have buy one get one free on some photo frames and albums if anyone is interested.
