Rufusdog, your dolls are brilliant. I love the little scarves and handbags! It's lovely when you can spend quality crafting time with your daughter, mine is nearly 21 but we used to sit for hours cross stitching together. Made her up a knitting kit for Christmas, don't know if she's started it yet. She's popping in tomorrow, might get her to bring it with her, in case she needs any help casting on.

Have just started a local stitch & b*tch with a friend of mine. We have our first meeting on 3rd February. Up to 6 people so far, so I'll have to get the camping chairs out of the loft!
That sounds like a good idea.

chalky, love the bag, I really like the way you did the handles. I had a peek at all your sock monkeys too. They're brilliant.

rufus, so glad you got photobucket working, the dolls are delightful. What some lovely presents they'll make. My favourite is the blue one but they're all equally lovely.

Just to say that I recently bought coloured corrugated card from the pound shop!! Its all metallic in about 6 different colours so the red or green would definitely be good for xmas

Such lovely photos - the fab trendy knitted dolls and the ever so cute ornaments. Want to get out the knitting needles.

And that cake! So many inspirations from that Japanese site too. I might have another go and crochet round cards after seeing some bookmarks. I thought they looked good.

On the subject of dolls, there is someone I met on FB, that makes Grannies in all sorts of outfits in case any of you fancy doing that. They are very amusing.

    Hi all :hello:

I'm new to this thread hope you don't mind me joining in! I've just started knitting in the last month and now I've mastered the basics I feel brave enough to start a project... can anyone suggest a good little starter project (other than a scarf - I'm half way through one!) you all seem to have crafted such lovely things well done :)
