LJM - I think I've done a pen holder for just about everyone over the years.........:rotfl: and want to stick to gravy tubs if I can........they're light to post and complete with lid -makes them a bit more versatile if you see what I mean.

craftyfox - I was thinking the same thing myself only with gravy granule tub covered with appropriate paper.
I could only think of candles, book/box of matches, - I was trying to think what I'd need. I have a lovely little torch (freebie from RAC I found on Freebie Board and its about the size of a credit card and gives off quite a good light but think OH wants to hang on to it.
Could always extend the 'emergency' to include small book of stamps, pen/pencil,small tube of toothpaste, pack of tissues, tea bag or two, sachets of sugar, - all the silly sorts of things you run out of when you need them - we can never find a pen that works and thats just one example.

I'm getting the feeling my son will be getting a shoe box full of 'pressies in pots'..................:rotfl:

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    hi everyone,
i have been crafting for a couple of years(mostly card making)but made some pressies this year aswell. They were all received with "ooh, how good are these" and from the ones who did not get them,"oh, i want some" so am planning on making something again this year for everyone,
Thought i would have a look and see what other people have made and maybe give/get some more ideas. I cant believe how crafty and organised you all are.
I made what i call nicker cupcakes. After reading most threads have found that other people have been making sock muffins. But i do not buy the cases have made them all.
My sil asked for a money tree(being funny) so i made him one, with coins and notes, but will be making them with chocolate coins next year for everyone.
will def. be coming back as i now think i will be trying snowman soup and lots of other things too.

Hey Mary, your list reminded me of being a brownie and having to have the little purse stacked with useful things, 10p for the phone, a pencil, a safety pin... What if you made it a "be prepared" tub instead, sure one of us talented lot could write a poem for it...
