In one of our local florists, they had something you might like, it was a washing line of 'string' draped/looped across the top of the door with Santa's washing..boots, sox, long johns, red coat, hat, mittens, trousers. the coat was about 3inches and the rest of the stuff was more or less in scale, the pegs were those small ones you use to hang cards ups. It looked so cute. I suppose if you were making your own you could add Mrs Claus clothes and even some belonging to Santa's little helpers, perhaps even some little knitted things
That sounds like some xmas cards I made. DD bought me some little sets for my birthday (santa coat, trouser hat and boots). I don't know where she got them from, and it took me ages to figure out what to do with them. In the end I fastened a piece of string to cards, 'hung' the clothes on with tiny pegs and stuck down with foam pads, then wrote 'Santa's washing line' across the bottom of the cards.
I wish I'd taken a photo! In fact, that will be my New Year's resolution (better late than never ) - photos of everything I make. At the very least it should give me some inspiration at those times when you just can't get any ideas.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -

My friend has saved her favourite christmas cards and has now, using a cutter, cut them into strips about 1/2" wide. They will then be stuck on a blank card with the lengths reducing to create a triangle, something like this.... http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://stampinmama.typepad.com/stampin_mama_a_mama_that_/images/2007/10/07/dscn4381_2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://stampinmama.typepad.com/stampin_mama_a_mama_that_/cards_without_stamping/&usg=__zScpyrVc07lVKm0G8dl8Vw3Vm_8=&h=540&w=372&sz=94&hl=en&start=7&tbnid=lFtnJgiHcDGKyM:&tbnh=132&tbnw=91&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dstrips%2Bchristmas%2Btree%2Bcards%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den

I have just started a Christmassy cross stitch picture which I hope to have finished for next Christmas, I don't know if I will manage it but it's something to aim for anyway.
We can't really put up decorations as we have 2 bengal cats who are totally bonkers so it would be nice to at least have a picture to put up.:D0 -

These are a really great make for easter but by changing the cover to a christmassy theme you could enclose a tree choc (the flat kind) or a 10p bag of sweets from tesco or any other small treat, another stocking filler.
These could even be given to school friends and teachers for very little costPucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0 -
