    Jailhousebabe - love the decoration:T
Might pinch that idea if I can...........I want to make some felt ones to hang across the pine dresser -snowmen, stockings, mittens and stuff like that.
They look fairly easy to do so I should manage it.............lol

    Sock Poem
This bag contains the lonely socks
The ones which were left behind
They're in here safe and waiting ...
For their long lost partner to find!

Just for starters ?- Feel free to add / amend !!

Has anyone thought of a poem yet for my odd sock bag? ;)something about it attracting all the stray socks - any help gratefully recieved i'm not very good with poems[/quote]

    2 socks make a pair,
    Matched together for ever.
1 sock is just a spare,
    Waiting to be together.

    Is this any good?:o

If you find a lonely sock
    Whose partner’s gone astray
Leave it in this bag right here
You’ll match them up one day!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

In one of our local florists, they had something you might like, it was a washing line of 'string' draped/looped across the top of the door with Santa's washing..boots, sox, long johns, red coat, hat, mittens, trousers. the coat was about 3inches and the rest of the stuff was more or less in scale, the pegs were those small ones you use to hang cards ups. It looked so cute. I suppose if you were making your own you could add Mrs Claus clothes and even some belonging to Santa's little helpers, perhaps even some little knitted things

These might make stocking filler gifts for the women in your family. I personally would paint the outside of the tin first, possibly handy for the students who are off on their own too.
I am definately adding these to my to do list...haha home made stocking fillers too, and I get to eat the mints at work first!!!
