dizzytina your chocs look lovely and the coloured noses on Pooh are fab idea oh and i looked at your hampers on your photobucket-nosey me -sorry and they look great-im always amazed at how people can get everything to sit in hamper at an angle-mine are looking very plain but ive bought some cheap tinsel to put in bottom of basket to help me-not quite finished yet but i will hopefully show the pics when i do

kacy the exploding box is looking good- i tried to do one last year but gave up at making a template stage-thought id do this as i had planned to make one for everyone for last christmas and template sounded best way to go for me anyway

    yesterday I
    - finished my journal jars and notebooks
-made some small boxes for some scented tealights im adding to my pamper hampers-pleased with myself as never made boxes before and dont have any of the boxmaking boards that are available-look like milk carton shapes as punched a hole in the top and tied with ribbon
-made 3 sock cupcakes -was pleased with 2 of them but couldnt get the 3rd one right-making own cases for them-may try again if i have time

have not taken any photos of the above as daughter whom some things are for came home from work and i craft in her bedroom

:T:T:T They look great hollyandmatt. I have a couple of questions:

How did you make your £10 note label and what did you make your noticeboards out of?

I'm sure they'll be well received.
I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful

  • i looked up the picture on google images.. then wrote the text pot of gold on it on paint brush! i really like them. the cupcake labels are my fav though.

memory boards... i got really cheap off cuts of mdf and chip board from b and q.. they normally have an area with broken bits etc..you get 5 cuts free...

so i think all my mdf for all of them cost about £6!
then i used a staple gun to staple wadding to it, then covered with fabric, then ribbon crossovers, staple at each meeting so its very tight.. then glue gun ontop of the staples at meeting points.. was really fun actually!
    thank you!

    hollyandmatt - brilliant stuff..............love the money label...................lol What a good idea:T

I've been playing around with scraps of material to do some 'primitive' hearts and things to drape across my dresser. Cut one out in felt first but didn't look right but the scaps of material are much better.........colours more subtle and even OH approves...................lol (he said he doesn't know why I didn't do that in the first place.......:rotfl:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
