thanks xx0 -
NEGirl - can I just ask you something - just been reading last few pages and got your recipe for Peanut Brittle - is it 1 x 1/4 tsp bicarb or 1&1/4 and the same for the vanilla extract - many thanks - I just need recipes to be really clear - or they have no chance!!! As you can tell not a very good cook - just been baking fairy cakes for the kids to take for Children in Need tomorrow and they look awfully anemic - not to worry soon be covered in icing!0

KP its not that recipe, its a more elaborate one from the Christmas book that used Amaretti biscuits instead of the rich tea ones etc

http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/christmasrockyroad_90624.shtml it really makes it so much nicer and you only need a small piece as its so rich

Oh I'm so glad you posted the recipe for the rocky road. Will be added to my Xmas baking list!
Quick question, I am doing a whiskey themed hamper for my papa and wanted to get a personalised whiskey glass for him but they all seem extortionate. How easy would it be to etch the glass myself? I have seen a few pictures on here of people doing it. Or am I hitting above my weight here? (I think thats the correct saying?)0 -
NEgirl, I made some exploding boxes!!! I've uploaded one on my blog: http://justbecauseitmakesmesmile.blogspot.com/ and I hope to upload the other one tomorrow.
I found the embellishing part really tricky even though I'm used to cardmaking and scrapbooking. I don't really know why that is but I admire your work even more now!
Thanks for the inspiration."Finish each day And be done with it.

Do you have a market place or cobblers near you? I know theres one in our town that does engraving too - they have loads of those celebratory glasses/hip flasks etc...might be worth asking how much they charge? I dont think i would even try as one slip and its there forever - knowing my luck i would end up spelling something wrong! :rotfl:Oh I'm so glad you posted the recipe for the rocky road.
