You can buy the bags of them, theyre usually in the ingredients sections of supermarkets where all the raisins etc are :)

Ive just uploaded the cut up pieces of Rocky road and i love how impressive it looks - tastes even better (i love Nigella - can you tell!!) :rotfl: It would be fab in little boxes as pressies and i would highly recommend Nigellas Christmas cook book for anyone :)

Does anyone know where I can get individual square drawer boxes. I want to make an advent calendar shaped like a tree, but instead of matchboxes I want to use square boxes and arrange them like this... http://www.metoyouonline.com/Details.asp?PID=5731&referrer=Froogle

    Any suggestions?

Scottishchick27: How did you make the drawers/advent - are they matchboxes covered? Stunning.

The matchboxes are painted with acrylic paint. I'm really not a craft person and I found the instructions easy to do. Here is how to make it if you fancy it. http://www.bubblyfunk.co.uk/tracie-hudson-christmas-advent-a-39.html

Me too, it's fantastic. I cooked our turkey her way last year and it was fabulous. :j

For those that are better knitters than sewers:

Just browsing knitting patterns, and came across this pattern for a basic all in one doll. Sadly, there are no pictures, but looks pretty straight forward to do.... and apparently comes out like a "fat gingerbread lady"!!! :rotfl:

I might have a go tomorrow and see what it comes out like, I would expect it would knit up quite quick.

    Will let you know.

  • I highly recommend the cranberry and white chocolate cookies from NEgirl - I ended baking loads of these last chrimbo because as soon as they were out of the oven the kids (and us) ate them. WIll try and make some this year for presents, if they last that long.

Another poem for the wrapped toilet roll

Money is scarce and times are hard
So I'm giving you this instead of a card
Christmas cards are a bit of a farce
But this will be handy for wiping your .... nose

That's the one I saw in one of the threads and couldn't find - I loved that one it made me think of my dad and uncle (no longer here) as it is just there sense of humour.

NEgirl that rocky road looks so yummy. I think my OH may be indebted forever if I make this (either that or I may be able to bribe him into doing the ironing :rotfl:)

I just wish my crafting skills were half as good as yours!
