Been googling for templates to make christmas decorations to hang across our dresser..........I'm thinking snowmen, gingerbread men, xmas tree -that sort of thing, made out of felt. Not had much luck apart from a snowman:confused: Any ideas of sites to look at ?

Thanks. Thats the sort of thing. I'd blanket stitch round the edges.
Want them to be fairly basic

I did balls of life this year, wrapped the tennis balls in cellophane and attached a tag with the verse on. All recipients thought they were good :D

I did balls of life too...not too sure what the recipients made of them:rotfl: they loved the 365 facts though

pickled bums............hard to describe but if you google Pickled Bums the site comes up................can seem to do the link for some reason.

Pickled boobs I haven't done - yet ! Once you've seen a piccy of the'bums' - they are much the same but with an extra stitch for the nipple if you know what I mean.

Cheap to do............just old tights, cotton wool, empty jar, needle and thread. Think there's a poem to go with them.
Oh and I put some pickle stuff in with mine but you can use pot pourri.

Have a look at them anyway. They were good for a 'fun' pressie

I didn't make that much this christmas as I had only recently stumbled across the crafty thread.

    I did manage to make
    Retro sweet box
    pots of gold
Few hampers, xmas eve, caravanning hamper
    Snowman Soup
    Selection box

Christmas 2009 I plan to make...
    Mulled wine gift box
    Gift Hampers
My Own gift tags - maybe wooden ones
    Door Hangers
Wine bottle T-shirts personalised, we give alot of wine as gifts so wanted them to be a little more thought out - Not sure how anyone any ideas?
    Food Boxes for granparents
    Journal Jars

I have started making a list, but I know as I read through this thread I will have list after list of things to make, so will have to rein myself in.

  • well i made photo calenders of mmy boys for parents/grandparents and aunties etc, they seemed really impressed so i will probably do them again for next year. they didnt cost much either.

A4 white card with a "home made calender" - month at top, then a space for the photo and then the date with __________ (for writing on) down the page. i did each piece of card as 2 months. then i printed the pictures on photo paper and glued to space. hole-punched the top, added ribbon and sorted! the only thing it cost me was for new ink as i ran out half way through BUT i would have needed new ink b4 long anyway.

My dd's school made one of these (the A3 size) as her Christmas gift to us. Each page had a photo and a piece of artwork on it and the quality is fantastic, really thick and sturdy.

I am definitely going to do these for all the family for this Christmas and get both children to do different arty things throughout the year to put in them.

I was actually just going to order my calendars to get really organised, but realised at the last minute that these are 2009 ones! That could have been very embarrassing next Christmas!
