But its a German translation so is awfully hard work! I think I have a POI / speed camera warning system for the Medion Navigator now. Need to test it but it supposedly works. There are also skins etc ... all are free on the above forum. You need to be registered to download / see downloads but fortunately there is some English support (e.g. manuals).
As a start I suggest setting up the POI Observer
English Instructions Here:

(must be logged in).
It looks difficult but really is step-by-step!
If anyone digs out any more usefull apps from the site let us all know!
Thats the free poi apps (poi observer) i was talking about yesterday.Followed the instructions which imo isnt the easiest to understand and gave it a go today after i checked the pda had the apps file installed and it did diddly squat when i zoomed past a gatso at 80+mph oops! lol!
If you can get it to work post some instructions.Thanks0 -
Anyone else got a dead/stuck pixel?
I just converted a high quality madagascar divx to pocket pc format using the software posted earlier and its looks truly awesome!
However its the first time there has been alot of black on the screen and i noticed a pixel near the corner which was blue instead of black
Might look round to see if there is a program to try and unstick it like what is available for televisions.
EDIT : Just found the video file (its in MP4 format). Obviously people have problems with thier psp screens so the following webpage is more related to that but i've downloaded it and now running it with the divx player I installed earlier.

Playing with the Garmin, I've found that it has maps for Northern France about 50 - 100 miles inland from Calais - useful for weekend and day trips together with the whole of Brittany - a very usefull bonus.
Has anyone found foriegn coverage on the Micromaxx pre loaded software?0 -

twe wrote:icarusi can u tell me how u changed those buttons at the front of the pda? And do you know how to remove bits from the homepage? i.e. when u just switch the pda on... thanks..
I assigned <none> to buttons 1-4 and medion-navigator 5 to button 5, which is the side button normally configured to start the voice recorder.
I'm now trying button 1 set to open the mp3 player and button 2 set to x/close window. I tried playing out an mp3 whilst navigating and it did OK. I did close most of the running 'Outlook' progs beforehand though. Just need a 3.5-2.5mm stereo jack adapter or lead to connect to my car stereo.
The nav voice announcements seem to temporarily lower the mp3 playing level. I don't know if that's designed or a fluke but it's convenient.0 -

Ramit - can you help?
I have downloaded 'winfast navigator' and put it on my PDA.
If I follow Pocket GPS instructions it says to go 'tools, port settings' but that just brings up an error page which says 'Couldn't find value' and won't clear when you click on the 'OK' button - it will not bring up the 'GPS Protocol' page as per instructions.
So the bottom line is I cannot select the port.
Any thoughts please?0 -

I had exactly the same problem! Click Ok enough times (3 or 4) and it will go and then you can enter the value!0
