Stressed,
Dear son has just announced that I need to make chocolate chip cookies with him with Fair Trade chocolate in them, tonight, for a school, Fair Trade, coffee morning on Friday, which I HAVE to attend grrrrrr, because he's running a stall.
I don't have any of the ingredients, I'm the world's worst baker and I'm working on Friday, also mucks up today's schedule.
Oh, if only all I had to do was be the perfect Yummy Mummy. Rant over.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Here we go again:-
The 3 Must Do's

DVD for J.
18.00 - 18.30 - H/M tomato soup Soup

A good day today, I started off quite lethargic, but managed to motivate myself to get going and pretty much stuck to the plan, it felt really good. The cookies were a success and taste yummy. Beginning to feel more in control again, which is where I want to be.

Well, even if I say so myself, DS's homemade cookies were delicious, and were the first plate to be emptied. There were obviously a lot of other non-baking mums there too, as some of the offerings were definitely of the very burnt, sacrificial kind. Felt very smug. DS was running the Tombola stall, so I put in £5.00 which got me 20 tickets. I won nine, really nice prizes, but my conscience made me put four back to give the other mums a chance. So I have a jar of home made chutney, a big box of quality biscuits, a new pair of slippers and an M&S toiletries selection. I also picked up four good books for £1.00 at the book stall. Not going to ebay this haul though, that would be too, too mercenary, even for me.
Not all going well though, I have spilt some cleaning fluid on the carpet and i'm hoping the insurance will pay for a new carpet, if not more expense, sigh, but if yes, it could turn into a blessing because the carpet has another stain on it from when the radiator leaked. We shall see..... Edit - New hall and stair carpet here we come, just £25.00 excess.

A good day today. I've had a nice ploddy day, doing and bit and chilling a bit. DH normally cooks tea on Saturday, but he's working on accounts so i'm going to make roast chicken with a lemon sauce, and open a nice bottle of the fizzy stuff. I spent a couple of hours going through paperwork and found a few things that needed to be located. On a negative note dear son's passport needs renewing and I can't find mine, so that will be £140.00 to find this month. Dear sons was budgeted for, but not mine. Need them for a trip in April. Always something to grab your money eh.
Edit - Found my passport yippee.

Oh can I join in please?
My aim is to have a lovely clean and tidy house by the end of this year
I also want to have a certain figure saved by the the end of November for Xmas
I'm going to have a think about this to work out how I can break everything down into bitesize pieces so that I can set myself a challenge a month if that's ok?
Have to go and collect my Betterware books right now so will be back later

Hi JennyJewell,
Of course you can join in. Post what you like, when you like. Welcome.
I use the thread to keep me on track with all my challenges. Without it I seem to go off track. I suppose, like most people, I need to keep on top of a number of different areas otherwise the whole pack of cards comes tumbling down.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Thank you scrooge2008
Will post on here later exactly what my challenge is going to be

Well, not such a productive today, today, but I enjoyed it. I got very tired mid-afternoon and went down for a long nap, then I just slobbed about. I started reading a book that I picked up at the coffee morning entitled 'The rise and Fall of a Domestic Diva,' by Sarah May, which is very light reading, but enjoyable and compulsive stuff, so I've nearly finished the book. Oh well tomorrow is another day.

Ok sorry - I fell asleep on the settee last night
But I have thought long and hard and I am going to completely de-clutter one of my reception rooms that has turned into a major junk room! The room I'm talking about is actually called the 'cold room' - when we moved in 11 years ago it didn't have a radiator and my kids fondly called it the cold room, it's had a radiator for years but the name just stuck
(Just a little bit of useless info there for you, lol)!
Anyway that's my plan and I intend to break this challenge down into bitesize pieces
Good luck to everyone in their challenges

Managed to find and book a couple of mystery shops which should bring me £20.00, so that's something, but I need to keep my eye on the ball in this area otherwise there will be a shortfall.
