Goals for Daring, Decisive December are as follows:-
Main Focus is the Kitchen:-
"When you create structures for the chaos in your life you free yourself. You free up your time and emotional energy for the good stuff." Dr Joan Minninger.
"It's hard to beat a person who never gives up" Ruth Babe.
"Let go of the fantasy that you can escape work by procrastinating. There is no path in life that requires no effort. Prepare yourself for making a commitment to your goal by recognizing that there are costs involved in both working and trying to avoid work. The choice is not working or not working, but which type of work: even feeling guilty because of procrastinating takes some effort. When you commit to a goal, you're committing to a form of work that brings ongoing rewards. When you procrastinate, you're choosing a self-punishing form of work.
Clearly, work is required when you decide on a goal, commit to the path, and continually stretch beyond your current abilities toward the goal. But it also takes work to feel unfulfilled and to maintain a list of unachieved resolutions". The Now Factor, Neil Fiore.

Well I picked up another couple of mystery shops to do today, it all helps.
DH and I went through the budget last night and although we are earning more and are much more careful with our money, there is still very little margin for error.
Then, the lady from the Yellow Pages rang and asked if I would do another couple of rounds for her, to add to the two i've already done, as she said she'd been let down by a number of people. Quite a few had started and couldn't finish (there's a surprise, it was a killer at the end when the weather turned foul).
So I said "OK then" ....... Nope I stood firm and said, "thanks but no thanks", I wasn't even tempted (well maybe slightly)..
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

Well, to keep me focused on doubling my income in 2010, i've joined 'The turn £100.00 into £10.000.00+ by the end of 2010 official thread.' I have pledged to get the money through new customers in my fledgling Accounts Management business, and I am quite excited at the prospect.
It is going to be another leap out of my comfort zone, but, as i've discovered, Yellow Pages, mystery shopping, cleaning, ebaying etc are not exactly comfortable, and the above is a much better long term prospect. Until the business is producing a decent income though, it will have to run in tandem with the other money making schemes, so I will need to be extremely organised in 2010.
Lol - going to have to work triple fast now, as i've spent a couple of very enjoyable hours reading Debt Free Diaries.
Quite a productive day overall - house clean and orderly going into the weekend, thanks to some sterling help from the wee man. I'll nail the last few bits of paperwork tomorrow.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

Right, time to target the remember list today as a few of them have been on all week. Holiday's on Monday, going to Centre Parcs with family, friends and their kids. Can't wait.
The shops were surprisingly quiet today, the staff looked positively bored, but were extremely helpful. Got everything I was looking for at the outlet stores.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Have a lovely holiday Scrooge. Hope you can remember what to do with all that leisure time!0

Had a fabulous time at Centre Parcs, and i'm feeling really energised. I came back to the results of my four paralegal assignments and they were all above 94%, with excellent comments. I was so surprised and delighted.
I've done a review of this year's activities and a business plan for 2010. The £24,000 I'm going to earn breaks down like this:-
Lollypop/School work - £4,800
Mystery Shopping/Cash back/Surveys/Clicks/Yellow Pages delivery - £1,800
Cleaning job - £800
Account's business with current client - £4,800
Ebay/Amazon - £600
Tesco points - 30,000 points for £1200.00 of deals (holidays/cinema/meals out)
The above is what I made this year, so it is easily achievable and worked out at around 28 hours work a week.
The extra £10,000 is to come from new account's clients. The next step for getting my new clients is to produce a marketing leaflet and drop this through 50 prospects letterboxes during the first week of January 2010.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

Well done Scrooge on your exam success:j!!
I would love to hear more about the Tesco vouchers. We don't do too badly from them and hope to use what we have for three trips to France by Eurotunnel in 2010. I'm going to do the savings accounts, hadn't thought about opening one for each of us so thanks for that idea.
Happy Christmasto you and here's to a great 2010!0
