Goals for Daring, Decisive December are as follows:- santapenguin.gif

    Main Focus is the Kitchen:-

"When you create structures for the chaos in your life you free yourself. You free up your time and emotional energy for the good stuff." Dr Joan Minninger.

"It's hard to beat a person who never gives up" Ruth Babe.

"Let go of the fantasy that you can escape work by procrastinating. There is no path in life that requires no effort. Prepare yourself for making a commitment to your goal by recognizing that there are costs involved in both working and trying to avoid work. The choice is not working or not working, but which type of work: even feeling guilty because of procrastinating takes some effort. When you commit to a goal, you're committing to a form of work that brings ongoing rewards. When you procrastinate, you're choosing a self-punishing form of work.

Clearly, work is required when you decide on a goal, commit to the path, and continually stretch beyond your current abilities toward the goal. But it also takes work to feel unfulfilled and to maintain a list of unachieved resolutions". The Now Factor, Neil Fiore.

I'm not finding the Yellow Pages as hard as I thought they would be, and it is working out about £10.00 an hour. The territory is the estate I live on, including my own house, which makes it a lot easier as I know the area well. I'm off out again for the final 150 of the day. But, it's a beautiful day today, and I'm visualising myself doing a 'Biggest Loser", challenge and I'm getting excited as the pile in the garage gets lower and lower. LOL.

Even better news. DH has started painting the kitchen today. He had a choice between the kitchen or 100 Yellow Pages and he went for the first option.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Well something good has come from doing the Yellow Pages, apart from the money towards the £10.00 a day challenge. It has made me decide that I don't ever want to have to do them again, and in order for this to become a reality I need to double my income. So my major challenge for 2010 will be to go from earning approximately £10,000 per annum to £20,010.

The £20,010 in 2010, DOUBLE MY INCOME CHALLENGE.

I am going to aim to do this, through developing my Accounts business, and working smarter not harder. The first step is to work on my business plan this month and add it to my goals :p. Bye bye Yellow Pages.........

  • Hi Scrooge, DC

Been busy wrangling with banks. Tried to buy some cheap euros and Abbey.com blocked my savings account cos they thought it was a fraudulent transaction! Gotta laugh but I cried with frustration. Got to wait for new cards, pin etc...

If I remember bout the last hurrah. It was an actress called 'Emma something and she had her legs done by laser to get rid of veins etc and then wore glamourous skirts and showed them off all the time.

Now Scrooge, I turn my back for a second and you have managed to squeeze in another job!! Good news about hubby tackling the kitchen, softly, softly catchee monkey ha ha!

Am going to flylady my bathroom...NOW!

Hi there, One day a bank will get it right . Yep, DH is making a lovely job of the kitchen.

Well that other job, the dreaded Yellow Pages, has been a turning point for me. I am going to use my brains in 2010 to earn me some money, and not my brawn .

Its the "£20,010 in 2010, Double my Income Challenge." I'm quite excited about it.

How is the Five Year Plan coming along?
