You're right DC, must have been in need of a natter, did enjoy it.

I know the streams of consciousness days, so well, lots of things get done some days, but not what was intended. Aaah well. Tis better than the can't move my derriere days.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Can't believe it's three quarters of the way through!
"When you create structures for the chaos in your life you free yourself. You free up your time and emotional energy for the good stuff." Dr Joan Minninger.

"It's hard to beat a person who never gives up" Ruth Babe.

"Let go of the fantasy that you can escape work by procrastinating. There is no path in life that requires no effort. Prepare yourself for making a commitment to your goal by recognizing that there are costs involved in both working and trying to avoid work. The choice is not working or not working, but which type of work: even feeling guilty because of procrastinating takes some effort. When you commit to a goal, you're committing to a form of work that brings ongoing rewards. When you procrastinate, you're choosing a self-punishing form of work.

Clearly, work is required when you decide on a goal, commit to the path, and continually stretch beyond your current abilities toward the goal. But it also takes work to feel unfulfilled and to maintain a list of unachieved resolutions". The Now Factor, Neil Fiore.

  • Morning Scrooge,
As ever you have me worn out just reading that. It is sad to read at the loss of of someone's loved one from Swine Flu. But I'm always amazed at the thoughtfulness of people such as yourself.

Flylady is slowly chipping into my conciousness, my sink is shiny, but I just have ever reproducing hotspots.

Maybe a fling boogie is in order...
    DC.

  • Hi Scrooge and DC - you are both up early!

Sorry to hear your news S, MiL (over 80) is recovering from it thought we would lose her.

I know i've not been on but have been plodding on. Held back by lack of Lexmark printer cartridge. So expensive but with all my trawling of internet and problems with refills I have just paid Curry's £25. It will be the last time as I will change the printer for a more sustainable brand eg epson of something.

I am thinking about spending money on my hair. Have been home dyeing and it really looks awful and stops me going outside which is not healthy, it stops me getting on with BIG PLAN for 5-0 cos my confidence is so low. So I will think about it whilst exercising. Also going to try eating 6 times a day, small meals see how that goes.

    Bye for noo.

    Hi there,

I totally understand the reproducing hotspots. It's like fighting a forest fire, as soon as you've put it out in one area, the flames start up in another. The never ending joys of housework :D.

DD, you've identified an obstacle to the BIG PLAN. I'm definitely in the, find a way to treat yourself camp, i'd go and get my hair done. I bet you'll look lovely.

  • Hi S and DC

Was on earlier honest but my post hasn't appeared.

It was about doing lots but not achieving anything noticeable. Except if you are bringing up kids eventually you have lovely healthy happy adults as a result of doing all those bizarre things you've done ie making thunderbirds are go suits out of blue card and sellotape on a wet and wild saturday morning etc.

And also about how I was able to walk away from the MSE boxes of Dairy Milk meant for C'mas pressies.

And doing; banking, correspondence, exercise, saving £90! in one day. How doing MSE is almost equivalent to a small part time salary etc, etc

    Better crack on...

    Tis so true DD,

Would love to have seen that Thunderbirds suit :p.

I think your point about MSE earnings equaling the equivalent of a small part time job is very valid, and I think it's a lot more fun than the average work place environment.

Well done on the £90.00 savings.

Did you book that hair appointment?
