  • Just having a quick check of my list

    Every day I need to:
Check in to MSE have done this and have not digressed too much
Excercise in fresh air 30 minutes ie walking, mealplan have exercised on treadmill whilst reading a book about purpose, also ran back to car in case i went over ticket time!
Plan meals, refine budget, increase family income will plan tonight, shop tomorrow, start clicking, bingo etc now laptop repaired and collected today £95!!!
Dig out CV and update not yet but have thought about how to describe my 'gap' in career
Listen to French tape/video for half hour as a family YES! with son, love it, tres bien!
Think seriously about where I want to be in four years as I will be turning 50 (ohmygoshthatcan'tbetrue) Am thinking and still cant believe its gonna happen. Feels like I just turned 40. DID ask son;s orthodontist about my teeth and bite. Some might think it's not worth bothering about at my age but would be nice to go into next couple of decades with excellent teeth. He did say he knew someone who could help privately for a sum not too far off the cost of a small car! ha ha
Do Flylady. Done some bits - okay just done floor, basin and windows. Tada!

One I picked up from book this morning is about cutting back on telly. It takes up valuable time, is passive and does increase feelings of lacking. For me definately makes me want to eat at commercial breaks so am going to put it on later tonight and try to think about what I am getting out of the particular programme ie judge judy, im a celebrity etc.

    It's a start!

A great start! When the money starts rolling in, you'll get those lovely nashers, and deserve them!

We are in our prime, the fabulous forties.

  • Hi Scrooge,

Just noticed your post there. I;m so glad that I am able to help in some way and make you laugh. I do remember being quite funny and amusing but at the moment I am a bear with a sore head.

However have made a start. Today was good n bad cos was at son's orthodontist and he/I was pulled up about his teeth cleaning or lack of which makes me feel carp as a mom but on the way back DS told me about all the excellent marks he is getting at school. History teacher says he is absolutely 100% on his way to a '1' and the subject he wrote about was human rights in America. Made me feel proud. BUT he will not be getting sweets or fizzy juice for the next eight weeks until brace if off.

Must go. See you in the morning:T
  • Scrooge,
I just re read you quotes re procrastination, cos I'm really suffering from demotivation this week. If I don't get on with it no-one else is going to.

Hi Dee, great username ! Am also in fab forties, going to shake things up today...list to follow.

  • Hi Scrooge and DifferentCorner (welcome)

You both beat me to it this morning. I woke up too early this morning and then fell back to sleep so last up. Scrooge, when do you get the time to be lethargic???

    I dreaded turning 40 but actually felt great when I did. BUT this big 5-0 is a bit scary. Anyway it is still 4 and bit years away and I need to use the fear of it to motivate me into getting my life in order. So today;

Flylady, thanks scrooge for posting it
Mealplan and shopping - bargains at Morrisons today
Will park far away in car park for the exercise
    Start bingo and scratchies
Send off letter for OHs NI waiver

That will do for today, I think. See ya later, have a nice day y'all.

Well, ticking along OK, today. 30% of course finished.

Just done my Flylady. Shocking as usual. My inventory tells me that I need nothing :p, got four+ of everything already stashed in various locations around the bathrooms .

The dust on top of the bathroom cabinet was truly shocking, as was the fact that DH had seventeen different razors in various states of disrepair and assorted blades, will try and pin him down to choosing his two favourites and bin the rest tonight.

Onwards and upwards. Weather is still terrible here. Roads are flooding badly. Hope your day is going as planned.

Well done DD on your Morrison's shop, some terrific bargains there.

Look forward to hearing that you listed your 5 ebay items DC.

Well OK day today for me. Flylady got the boot today though, in favour of a long natter to my neighbour and an hours telephone chat with friend who is starting up her own business and likes to bounce ideas about.

Will have to catch up with F/L tomorrow.

  • *Guilty look* not done, but best intentions ...you know how you start something and then end up doing six other things and not the original task ?
Looking for required lead for camera, look in sons room (big mistake) start to tidy up, find 3 towels on bedroom floor, change his sheets, change mine, start sorting sock pile, give up, back to hunting for lead, find at least 5 things been hunting for last week, feed mini men, walk dog, drop son off at friends and to be honest give up ! Will see if camera phone is up to the job later.

Mustn't waste today. All children out of the house, must make progress.
So today list 6 things on ebay,
    Paint more of the bathroom
Sort out the 100's of coats - perhaps more on ebay ?

Scoroge sometimes a long natter is good for the soul :)
