Morning everyone and Happy New Year!! :D

I feel like this challenge has really started now that it's a new year.

    My tasks for January are:
    1. Answer 50 questions on AQA every weekday and 100 questions on Saturdays and Sundays. If I do this then I will get to £600 by the end of the month. Will do 50 today - already done 20.
    2. Get £50 worth of Amazon vouchers on Dooyoo. Nearly got to £10 already.
    Emily x

Can anyone tell me what AQA and dooyoo are and does anyone have a link that I can sign up with?!

    1. Sort the chlidren's rooms and make them a joy to be in.
    2. Save, through surveys, clicks etc. and tackle the smallest debt of mine - Barclaycard.
    3. Declutter the house - room by room, slowly, and carefully. Take back the house as my very own and take pride in it. Do this cheaply/free if I can!!

Think that'll do for now - I'm giving myself 4 months to get them done. :)
    hmmm...

I really am taking babysteps with these - but, I have signed up for the scratchcards, have been doing the surveys etc and working out what I can pay into bcard out of gift money too. Will be sorting it all for tomorrow I hope - but just need to let the cheque clear before I make the extra payment to the bcard.

With regards to the house - still plodding along with the decluttering, slowly adding bits and pieces to the charity bags, but the kids rooms are a little static. When the kids next go to their dad's I'll paint Sophia's room.

    Hi all,
Yet another one who joins up to these challenges and never sees them through. Well enough is enough and I really need to stick to this one to get my life back on track.

    1) I want to pay off my credit cards this year, will get the total and update later.
    2) Stop spending money I don't need to.
    3) To get organised and declutter and list unwanted stuff on freecycle and ebay.

Think thats enough for now otherwise I will probably not manage them.

Well just wanted to update with my things I want to do.
I have started tidying my sons room and have listed unwanted things on freecycle so just waiting to hear if anyone wants any of them.
I went shopping today and only bought the things I had set out to buy which was good for me especially as I had the kids with me.
I have not managed to pay anything off my debts yet as I don't actually have any money till Monday, but I have set up a spreadsheet listing all debts and balances etc which is something I have been meaning to do for ages.:T
  • *Finally* completed my Tax Return today, and apparently I need to pay £56.66 in back taxes:confused: erm, ok then! I opted for a Tax Code adjustment, so I guess that will happen next year....?
I know why, because I kinda guessed the figures for int on savings.... because I didn't keep the tax statements from any of my accounts :o
Lesson learned for next year then!

Anyway, gonna retrieve the pile of paperwork from upstairs now and do some shredding..... the compost heap will be full by the morning :)

Hi Hales - this is the link for applying for vacancies with AQA - you are best checking back daily as they are not taking on at the min for the UK.

There is a big thread on the Up your Income board about it too - the test isnt easy! x x
