Hi all - been good this morning despite feeling really quite ill - dd is ill and I think I have a touch of whatever it is she has - achey and headachey. Been decluttering, got rid of rubbish and added even more to the charity piles :) Feeling good about that.

Need to get cracking tho! :)

  • Have now sorted my paperwork pile and shreded about 80% of it, all stuff no longer needed like defunct CC bills etc.... and even found a few things I haven't seen for ages, like the cover notes for the car and house insurances.... and the tv license! That arrived in aboout Feb last year, so that shows how long its been since I sorted that lot out! Filled a years worth of payslips that had just been chucked in the corner:eek: I think another long term challenge for me is to keep my filing up-to-date!

Tired now, but the police are around in the helicopter (virtually on top of my house, or so it sounds!) so no point trying to get to sleep until they've moved on.... hope they catch whoever it is!

So, jobs for tomorrow are as follows:

*Take down Chrsitmas tree/decs, and sort everything out for OH to put in the loft asap
*[STRIKE]Find somewhere for the old pc to live - I have an idea as to where I want to put it, but have to have another little jiggle around first[/STRIKE] In the cupbaord that I de-cluttered a few days ago - would never have had the space in there before!
*Dismantle old pc table and put outside ready to take to the tip in the week.
*Put away all clean laundry - damn pile is growing again!
*[STRIKE]Resurect the washing line.... No doubt I could get some stuff half dry and TD it for only a few mins instead of the 80+ mins I'm doing at the minute[/STRIKE] Line is up, but no washing done yet.... but then I didn't commit to doing washing!:p
*[STRIKE]Go food shopping, and shopping for DS bits in Mothercare (giftcard from Grandad at Christmas, and they are making me nervous, so I will spend them!)[/STRIKE] Smallest food shop yet, £50.52 of which £5 went into my Xmas 09 savings :)Spent the Mothercare vouchers too, got some nice pj's for DS and a pair of slippers for him... for £2.40. I love sale shopping, especially with vouchers :D
    *PAD
*[STRIKE]Check eBay items[/STRIKE] Won a pair of shoes for DS, got lots of watchers for my items, plus have found a couple more things to list tonight.
*[STRIKE]Find my hand cream - goodness knows where that has gone![/STRIKE] Behind the tv, how did it ge there!?!
*Start reading my BookCrossing book.... never heard of it until I found it at work today :D

Think thats it.... do also have £50 to spend in Argos (also Christmas prezzies) so will grab a catalogue tomorrow and see what's what.

Nice and groggy this morning due to helicopter still flying around at 2 this morning! Thankfully DS didn't wake up at all!... Right, lets see whats done already.....
Didn't get a catalogue, so will just have a look on the website....

    Hello everyone,

Thought I'd just drop by with an update - it's helping me keep the momentum up.

    My current challenges:

    1) Stop taking money out of savings account - ongoing
    2) Triple the amount in my savings by the end of 2009 - ongoing
    3) Bank my cheque for £175 and put it all into my savings - banked, but not in savings yet
    4) Get some money bags from the bank, sort out all of my loose coppers and put them in the savings account too - I've got the bags so I'm going to do this today.
    5) Get a better job I love (and hopefully pays lots) as soon as possible - I've trawled the internet today and applied for 8  jobs. Fingers crossed.

    And a new one:

    6) Stick to a weekly budget - I've joined the weekly spend challenge.

    Keep it up everyone x
    Looking forward to the future.

Made another payment off my barclaycard (my send target) - so that's another £25.90 off that. A little amount, but all makes a difference! :)
