    Hi

Been slacking a bit, but i did manage to do the shred today, and i have been knitting. I wanted to do 2 blankets for special babies arriving very soon, and kind of lost track of time a bit. One baby is due 5th of August and one on the 1st of September. I am just doing the border of the 1st one, but i still have all of the 2nd one to do.

Busy week too. We have the cavity wall insulation being done on Tuesday, and also the bathroom guy needs to come back - Wednesday i think.

We also need to get our bums in gear and arrange for some bits to be delivered so DH can do the fascia on the garage this month.

I have been floundering a bit so time to regain some focus in all areas.

    Michelle x

    Hi Michelle,

Well done with sticking with the Shred especially with all the building work going on around you.

Sounds like you have a busy week ahead. I'm sure if you stay focussed you will get all that you want done.

    Ciao for now.

    Plan for August

    1. Budget

I've prepared a budget, which is extremely tight due to all the holiday's I have taken, but it needs to be stuck to. To help I have set a target of 22 NSD's

    2. Weight Loss

I have set a target of 4 lb weight loss in August. I will do this by doing some form of physical exercise for five hours each week and doing the Shred twice a week on the days where I haven't exercised. I will aim for 22 AF days and track weight/calories and nutrition on Sparkpeople each day.

    3. New Business

I will set a one hour New Business Goal each day for the month and aim for 22 New Business hours.

    4. Family and Friends

I will complete the form for mum's attendance allowance and get it signed and sent for processing this month

    5. Flylady

I will do a Flylady hour each day, which includes dress to shoes, housework, ironing, tea, family clothes for next day and lunches. I will aim for 22 Flylady hours in the month.

    6. Nature and Culture

I will try to rekindle my enthusiasm for the subject this month, by doing less of it.

    7. £10.00 a day challenge

£310.00 extra from Mystery Shopping/Ebay etc.

This will need to be a major focus this month as cash flow is severely restricted.

    8. Special Project

I will schedule a special project hour/goal each day this month and aim for 22 special project hours

    Overall

The focus this month will be:-

    22 NSD's
    22 AFD's
    22 Special Project Hours
    22 New Business Hours
22 Gok my and DS wardrobe hours
    22 Fitness hours
    31 £10.00 a day hours
    31 Weight tracking inserts
    31 Flylady hours

I will track these each day on MSE and adjust if I fall behind on certain categories.

I have set 22 as a target because in reality I have 7 visitors for 10 days in August, but I can't afford to let that throw me too much this month, but realistically there will be days when things will be a bit up in the air.

Off sailing. Bye for now xx.

I have every faith that you will power through the month of August and achieve all your goals.

    Enjoy sailing.

I'm going to try to report in every day and see that i am making a little bit of progress at least.

Right, today, i went shopping as i needed a few bits for the bathroom like new sponges and exfoliating gloves. What i really need is a new bathmat set but i haven't spotted a suitable one yet, and toothbrush holder, loo roll holder and the like.

I did manage to get a new door mat to replace the one that was falling apart so that is now in situ. I have also spent some time today crushing some cardboard boxes to fill the green bin, and also got all the recycling out. The toys have been fully tidied away tonight again, so i will be able to get a good hoover around tomorrow before the cavity wall insulation people come to do that job.

I have not managed to do the shred again today, but i will do a bit more knitting on the baby blanket, and i am going to get some cat food ordered. I will also try and get DH to order the fascia bits that he needs so that is done.

I wish i could get a bit more done but DS2 is definitely in the terrible 2s stage at the minute, and both kids seem to squabble a lot more than usual. At least one step forwards is better than going backwards today.

Well done Michelle. I wish I could knit, I am sure the items will make very special presents.

The only clothes that I have kept from when my DS was young, are a beautiful Arran jumper that my Stepmother knitted for him and a stunning lace shawl crocheted by a dear friend for him.

Thanks for your lovely comments to us all micron.

It's full steam ahead for the rest of the year, and Firewalker has given me a lot to think about with regard to achieving the £100.00 to £10,000.00 challenge, so I am now convinced I can do it. Watch this space ;).

  • Scrooge I got lost in the maths of the compound interest discussion on Firewalkers thread, probably why I am in this mess !

Today I think perhaps some inroads into the utility room declutter, little by little, can throw at least 10 things away, just scared of the spiders...

    Hi DC,

I really like the way you are breaking everything down into achievable daily chunks.

I had a terrible headache yesterday. I had run out of painkillers, but didn't want to break a NSD, so ended up drinking half a bottle of Calpol :rotfl:. It did the trick though.

    Mind the spiders.

DC good luck in the utility room today.

I plan to hoover through downstairs, and the cavity wall people will be here this afternoon. It might be a bit of a reactive day (do what comes up.)

I'm also going to try and get back into 1 load of washing per day. No chance of drying outside again, so i just need to have the clothes on the airers inside and get on with it.

Maybe i will even get round to listing more on ebay today.

    :Morning all.
DC I love the way you list everything. Might have to steal that idea
DC - spiders are your friends!
Michelle - I know that feeling today is a reactive day for me to. Lots of phone calls to make

Hopefully today I will have found space to store 2 duvets which currently reside on the bedroom floor having migrated from the sofa that was freecycled on Sunday. The problem with this house is there is just no storage anywhere :( Once the back room is sorted I am hoping to install some wardrobes or some kind of storage. Getting there slowly but it seems that to do one thing I have to do another first that makes even more mess:rotfl: I have never lived like this before so I am finding it very difficult at the moment.

    Morning,

I enjoyed the Margaret Thatcher quote on your diary yesterday, cheri.

Here's a quote from Alice in Wonderland on outcomes.

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the cat.
"I don't much care where ....." said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go." said the cat.

Napoleon Hill did extensive surveys on this and discovered that 98% of people didn't know where they were going, so I suppose just by knowing what we want we are well ahead of the crowd.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
