What a busy, productive lot we are.
Enjoy demolishing that list x.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

Yep, you are right,
I've just finished one, but it's definitely time for another one. I'll get going at 8.00 am.
Once I've knocked over the trainer, i'll give him another, extra hard biff and say that one is from DC :rotfl:.
Here's to enjoying the journey .I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Morning all,
Scrooge - fantastic results on that list. Go You.
Good job on facing the fears. I had a manager once who told me on one occasion when I failed to meet a deadline (I never failed a deadlne before) that I put too much pressure on myself and whenever I gave him an expected date, he never expected it until a week later (he did this with everyone) so he said the trick is to underpromise and over deliver and then everybody thinks you are wonderful :j I had another manager who operated a traffic light system in his diary. If he gave somebody something to do he would put the due date in his diary in red pen. A week before the due date he would set a reminder and highlight it yellow to see how they were getting on and green would be the date that he gave you the task. At first I thought he was a control freak (ok -he was but hey so am I) but I actually felt supported by him when he rang to see how I was doing. He would give me ideas and tips if I was stuck on any particular bit.
So Tip of the Day - underpromise and over deliver. That client woud obviously have been happy with the job taking 2 weeks longer than you promised. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Ok yesterdays TADA list wasnt filled in on my diary so I will head over there to do that. I am really getting there with the challenge to have the guest room set up by the end of the month. (this wasnt to include decorating but who knows) I can now see the floor.
"What is not started today is never finished tomorrow." Goethe. ( love this)
To do list-
[*[STRIKE]]walk Max
- breakfast
- take everything cleared out yesterday to tip
- clean bathroom
- go for a sit on the prom with my book for lunch (me time)[/STRIKE]
- hoover bedrooms - including the bit of floor I can now see in the guest room
- strip the lid of the ottoman ready for painting and recovering.
- chase up doggy day care in Anglesey

Well, I have definitely not over achieved today. The week has caught up with me. I am not as fit as I thought I was and all the lugging of boxes etc to the tip did for me. So I spent longer sitting on the prom reading my book than I intended. I didn't do everything on my list. But then that is what a TADA list is for because I did other things than those I had planned. I am still on track for the end of the month having a bed in the guest room. If I keep saying the guest room it will happen!!! Tonight I am just going to chill out and catch up with Masterchef on the iplayer but only after listening to tonights proms. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. That sounds like a well deserved rest. Like you say it's getting the right balance. Enjoy your night.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0

You have to have an only slightly working ancient dyson to hoover curtains...
Look at all these crossings out today, more strike throughs that Mr Strike from Strikesville.
Cheri doesn't look like you've under acheived, trips to the tip are many, and round here you could waste a weekend queuing to get in, because I swear as soon as I leave my house with a car load they say 'right lads, close it for half an hour she's on her way, lets move a few skips about'.
Scrooge you really are facing it, clearly personal trainer ticks the boxes. Enjoy it tomorrow.
Loving the quotes, sometimes one of them just hits home.DC.

Morning Scrooge, really interesting post.
The weight/age thing, I've never had to worry about weight before, now all of a sudden I can see things changing. I don't own any scales, so I rely on the wii fit which is somewhat suspect as it depends on what you are wearing. I know I'm nearer 10st than my usual 9, this has lots to do with diet. (eat well just grazing on the chocolate and jelly babies that puts the downers on it) So as stated in my diary I need to start 'moving it'. This is a plan in progress.
Fairly mediocre today :
[STRIKE]Job hunt[/STRIKE]Applied for one
[STRIKE]Work[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]
Ironing
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]See to a mountain of shredding[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Throw 5 things out[/STRIKE] Made it about 8, easily.
Drag ebay box 'out' of black hole
Right have a good day all.DC.

Morning all.
Scrooge, your post rings true with me on so many levels. When I did the springboard course the first chapter was all about examining our "head tapes" ie, why we thought a certain way and how that affected our dealings with people and ability to cope in certain situations. It was a difficult thing to face up to but it certainly opened my eyes.
I am having an easier day today as I need to recharge my batteries.
The things that I must do- Take Moo to vets - he was attacked by a GSD last night and has a puncture wound
- Go to the shops for some eggs and a bit of veg (so no NSD for me)
- make a cheese and lentil loaf for tea
- make spiced fruit loaf for breakfast tomorrow
- make the beds
- Go for a walk on the prom and stop to watch the world go by.
