Hi Cheri, welcome.
That is an impressive and physical list, particularly your building plans. Wish I could do such things.
Feels good crossing it offDC.

Well done DC!! and welcome Cherisong, it sounds like you have a well thought out plan there. Best wishes to your DS Wilf for the rest of the season.
I have to confess that the sailing course today was a real endurance test. It was much more hands on than I expected. I was in a tiny boat, in a shipping channel, in the rain and strong winds for 5 hours. I am mentally and physically exhausted, and felt very sea sick. I would love to quit, but i'm going to finish it.
Mother nature and I are not quite on the same page at the moment, I think I have overdosed on her xx.
Will post goals for August tomorrow.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Morning
Happy August.
Scrooge I'll bet you slept well, you really do amaze me with your physical activities.
The windowsill....today I promise.DC.

I love your avatar micron. I'm just going to have another look and dream, although I am sure it will become your reality
.
Morning DC, I amaze myself with my physical activities too, they will be toned down in August though as I am looking very windswept and weatherbeaten. Too much of a good thing and all that. Happy August to you too.
The windowsill sounds doable. I think you are right to break the jobs down into smaller chunks and then cross them off.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Plan for August
1. Budget
I've prepared a budget, which is extremely tight due to all the holiday's I have taken, but it needs to be stuck to. To help I have set a target of 22 NSD's
2. Weight Loss
I have set a target of 4 lb weight loss in August. I will do this by doing some form of physical exercise for five hours each week and doing the Shred twice a week on the days where I haven't exercised. I will aim for 22 AF days and track weight/calories and nutrition on Sparkpeople each day.
3. New Business
I will set a one hour New Business Goal each day for the month and aim for 22 New Business hours.
4. Family and Friends
I will complete the form for mum's attendance allowance and get it signed and sent for processing this month
5. Flylady
I will do a Flylady hour each day, which includes dress to shoes, housework, ironing, tea, family clothes for next day and lunches. I will aim for 22 Flylady hours in the month.
6. Nature and Culture
I will try to rekindle my enthusiasm for the subject this month, by doing less of it.
7. £10.00 a day challenge
£310.00 extra from Mystery Shopping/Ebay etc.
This will need to be a major focus this month as cash flow is severely restricted.
8. Special Project
I will schedule a special project hour/goal each day this month and aim for 22 special project hours
Overall
The focus this month will be:-
22 NSD's
22 AFD's
22 Special Project Hours
22 New Business Hours
22 Gok my and DS wardrobe hours
22 Fitness hours
31 £10.00 a day hours
31 Weight tracking inserts
31 Flylady hours
I will track these each day on MSE and adjust if I fall behind on certain categories.
I have set 22 as a target because in reality I have 7 visitors for 10 days in August, but I can't afford to let that throw me too much this month, but realistically there will be days when things will be a bit up in the air.
Off sailing. Bye for now xx.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Just in case anybody's enthusiastic about camping this Autumn :rotfl:, the Record and I think the Mirror are printing tokens at the moment for 95p a night camping throughout September to November.
DS and DH have informed me that we are going camping to Gairloch, up North, for our anniversary long weekend, mid-September, using the vouchers. Very MSE.

Windowsill and windows done. However I have to admit to sort of swishing over TV and surrounding area, so many things and wires and bits...all looks a lot better. May just have to go outside and do outside sills (can't actually believe I'm typing that....).DC.

To be able to do this I need to
- clear some space in the wardrobes in our bedroom (Gok capsule comes to mind) will allow me to clear some boxes of clothes from the back bedroom into the wardrobe - freecycle and charity shop any unwanted clothes
- freecycle a small two seat sofa from our bedroom which will allow me to put in more storage space
- build some bookshelves that match the bedroom set in our bedroom to be able to move some books into there from boxes in back room
- arrange to get the shed built so I can move some boxes into it (some bits of the shed are in the back bedroom!)
- arrange to get a new inner blanket for the storage heater that OH took out of living room 5 years ago so he could paint. Oh living room still not painted heater is currently living in the back bedroom
- arrange for said heater to be put back on wall in living room
- move boxes from back bedroom into the shed when built
- bring bed out of storage to put in back bedroom
Ok, I made a start,- sofa went on freecycle last night - waiting for interest
- gardener coming to give me a price to start work on garden and build the shed
- one box of paperwork removed from spare room and sorted/shredded/filed in appropriate folders in study

Well done Cherisong and DC.
I think you have found a system that works for you DC.
Sailing completed and it was really pleasurable today, as for most of the day we had sunshine and light winds. I'm glad I stuck at it and saw the other side of the coin.
1st August:-
1/22 NSD's
0/22 AFD's
0/22 Special Project Hours
0/22 New Business Hours
0/22 Gok my and DS wardrobe hours
1/22 Fitness hours
0/31 £10.00 a day hours
1/31 Weight tracking inserts
1/31 Flylady hours
DH cooking tea tonight, so I will pamper myself in a hot bath, do my finger and toe nails and smother myself in anti-aging cream.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0
